Seatbelts SELLER REMARKS You know we love these '60s Chevy pickups. but this 1969 C10 long bed has everyone's attention. With a mild pro-street vibe and a cool set of ghost flames. it's definitely got the look. and the sweet-running small block under the hood gives it enough horsepower to make use of all that tire. While the look is definitely aggressive. it doesn't get in your face all at once. Instead. this handsome plum-colored pickup kind of sneaks up on you with the little stuff. The stance is probably what you notice first. but then you realize that the paint looks pretty danged good. It's not perfect and it has a few signs of age. but the subtle color is a great choice for a bruiser like this. On the other hand. given the fun they've surely had with this truck over the past ten years. it's in remarkably good shape. The doors fit well. the standard Chevrolet badges and C/10 markings are intact. and the grille was treated to a blackout look that really works. The ghost flames were rather nicely done and don't really stand out until the light hits them just right. but there really is no disguising this truck's intent. Between the fat tires. tubbed wheel wells in the bed. and the cargo net-style tailgate. you know this sucker was born to run. However. given the nice workmanship on the tubs and the spray-in bedliner. you can probably put this truck to work without worries. too. That's kind of cool in your weekend toy. The burgundy bench seat interior successfully combines original functionality with a few additional pro-street touches. The upholstery is cloth that feels a lot like the OEM stuff from a few years ago. and the color works well with the plum paint on the body. No-nonsense floor coverings give it a utilitarian feel inside that's actually kind of refreshing. just because you don't have to worry about getting carpets dirty. Bright red accents remind you this isn't your average pickup. and the tall B&M shifter and steering-column-mounted Auto Meter tach and shift light are pure race track styling cues. Auxiliary gauges under the dash augment the factory dials in front of the driver. and the glove box lid is shiny enough to use as a mirror. The upholstery doesn't show much wear. so the cloth is durable and well-installed. and despite the lack of amenities. you'll probably never get tired of cruising around in this industrial-strength pickup. Don't underestimate the 327 cubic inch V8 under the hood. because it's plenty potent enough to make the most of the wide contact patches out back. An Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor work with an upgraded camshaft to improve top-end breathing and the setup gives the truck a burbly V8 idle. A few chrome dress-up pieces look great in the plum-colored engine bay. while the block itself is covered with Chevy Orange. The power brakes were recently rebuilt. the fuel system is new. and long-tube headers dump into a pair of Flowmasters with turndowns. The TH350 3-speed automatic transmission snaps through the gears with genuine enthusiasm and there's a stout 12-bolt rear end hanging on ladder bars and coil-over shocks for a true pro-street look underneath. Modified steel wheels with trim rings and hubcaps are a cool. low-key way to avoid attention and wear 225/70/15 BFGs in front and 31x16. 5-15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman meats in back. At first glance. a nice-looking old pickup. Up close. a pretty nasty truck with room for a lot more horsepower. Enjoy as-is or take it to the next level. the choice is yours.
