Description for Chevrolet Corvair 1965
We love original cars and if you are a Corvair enthusiast you have to check our this 1965 Corvair Corsa Turbo Coupe offered by GR Auto Gallery. This car has been in the same family for over 40 years and was just recovered from Grandma's barn were it was stored for the last 30 plus years. The car is fully documented with original Protect-o-plate, original warranty book, original owners manual, owner history, photo documentation of the cars recovery and the... barn it resided in, all original vin and body tags, original line ticket, and a host of other literature, manuals and other goodies. The car features its original numbers matching 164 Cubic inch rear mounted turbocharged engine producing 180 horsepower and 4 speed manual transmission. Highlights include: A to die for highly original interior that features all original upholstery, original dash, original gauges, original bucket and rear bench seats, original cane style floor shifter, original dash, aftermarket radio (original with the car), etc. The car is very complete including original turbo charger, original spare tire, original washer bottle under the hood, the original spare tire sticker is will the car, and more. The odometer reads 25389 miles, given the originality of the car, this appears to be accurate, but you can be the judge of that. The underside of the car is extremely solid but does show some scale on the hard steel components and on the rear very lower fenders, front and rear valence (see photos), these areas could use some targeted refurbishment to bring the car up a notch. The rockers are very solid. Mechanically this Corsa Turbo runs and drives down the road very nicely, tracks true, shifts, shifts proper, good clutch feel and stops straight. 1965 was the first year for the Corsa model, it featured a distinctive instrument panel with a 140mph speedometer and a 6000 rpm tach. These cars have a following and are great cars to own and drive as well as being an excellent option to enter into the collector car scene. The Corviar Corsa Turbo is rare and affordable and has a future as an automotive investment.
