Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1965
You are looking at what may be the lowest mileage all original 1965 Chevelle wagon left. The car is like a time capsule in every respect. Other than the tires. battery. belt. one radiator hose and tune up items. the car looks to me like nothing else else has been changed. No paintwork is evident anywhere to me. and the paint all the way around is in superb. non oxidized condition. The interior is in like new condition and under plastic seat covers. Chrome is downright perfect. Everywhere you look. its outstanding and eerily new. Unrestored cars just don't come much better than this one. The odometer is showing just under 15. 00 miles. The car will blow you away. The story that was told to me by the second owner was that his brother in law bought it new in Huntington. West Virginia and used the car for about one year. He put the car away inside in good clean storage until 1990. when the brother in law took ownership. Some handwritten notes on the back flap of the owner's manual say that the mileage was 12. 24 in 1990. I am the third titled owner of the car. I have the original window sticker from Wilson Chevrolet in Morgantown showing the car was ordered new with the 140 hp 230 cid 6 cylinder engine. 3 speed transmission. manual radio. full wheel covers and the comfort & convenience group. MSRP was $2775. 65. I also have the Protect-o-Plate. original owner's manual and registration receipts. Even have the original dealer's chicken scratch math tabulating price. The original owner must have gone to the Rambler dealer too and had them work it up as there is a similar hand written quote from Rambler taking a '64 Chevy in trade. Take a look at the photos of the driver's door jamb showing the Sinclair oil change sticker - it has "New Car" written on it and its dated in 1965! The car runs and drives very nicely. Engine is very quiet. shifts like a new one. Tires are new BFG bias ply reproductions. Radio. heater. etc all work like they ought to. There is a spot on the top of the dash where the original owner glued a St. Christopher statue and it made a mark on the dash. See the photo of it. The St. Christopher statue is in the glove compartment and yes it goes with the car. Look at the close up photos of the door jambs. the window fuzzes. the chrome. the rear license plate light. the rear cargo area. etc. This car can hardly be told from a new one cosmetically. The car is titled in my name. I am a long time car collector especially of unrestored cars. This one is a gem. Please feel free to call me with realistic questions at 201-406-4423 and I am happy to accommodate your physical inspection of the car prior to the end of the auction if you are inclined to do so. I have been on Ebay for 14 years. check my feedback. its stellar. It was 100% for 14 years and I had one complaint a couple of months ago. the first one I ever had. Apparently he did not like the way I packaged a pair of taillight housings I sent him. That's all it takes to ruin 100% positive feedback for 14 years. I require a $1000 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours after the end of the auction. and final payment via bank wire. or cash in person within five business days after the end of the auction. buyer is responsible for pickup of the car and all shipping costs. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. The car is offered on an as is where is basis with all faults and is offered with no warranty nor guarantee of any kind. Now take a minute for the 100 or so photos to load. I took photos of everything I could including the original paperwork. enjoy!
