Description for Chevrolet Impala 1958
This 1958 Chevrolet Impala represents a highly desirable inaugural model of a one-year design. And this restored coupe has the best of everything â€" from the classic chrome to a modern overdrive transmission. The light coral paint with white roof and matching whitewall tires has a radiance about it that will get noticed from blocks away. The car is a visual delight with awesome details everywhere you look. Check out the chrome grille and bumper combo that dominates... the front end with brightwork and even wraps around the sides. That leads the way for this lower, wider, and longer '58 Chevy. There are also nice details like the fender skirts and dual antennas. The hardtop profile with wraparound glass front and rear makes the top-of-the-line Impala look fast standing still. And where this roof meets the rear quarters, it begins the trim line that seamlessly wraps around the taillights for an appearance like tailfins turned on their side â€" a very cool iconic touch. So, it's amazing something so intricate would be a one-year-only design. But it's this rarity and distinction that keep the '58 a sought-after coupe in the market. Colorful interiors were this Impala's calling card. The coral on the seats and door panels nicely matches the exterior, and the tri-tone seat inserts are a nice coordinating hue. It gives this a very vivid and luxurious look. There's even a collapsible armrest so that the rear passengers can make the most out of this full-size coupe. Up front, the dashboard is a big step forward compared to 1957, and the correct dual-spoke jet-age inspired steering wheel is beautifully finished with lots of bright details. The speedometer is as long as the horizon, and it's nicely rendered with crisp numbers on black background. So yes, this is pure rolling nostalgia. But as you look below the dash, you'll also spot some great additions. This has everything from upgraded gauges (including a tach) to provisions for modern R134a air conditioning. So you know they made some nice investments in this car for driving comfort, and that continues in the engine bay. The 350 cubic-inch small block is one of Chevy's best motors. It wasn't available in '58, but this one was upgraded with a crate motor. Plus, it has been enhanced further with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and a sweet-sounding dual exhaust. It's a total package that fires up nicely and is smooth to cruise. In fact, this one was really built to enjoy near of far with great driving features like power steering, front disc brakes, and a four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive. It's getting harder to find these single-year Impala hardtops, especially one that has all the right features you want. Do don't miss this opportunity, call today!!!
