Description for Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1971
Serious performance and grand touring luxury were the hallmarks of the best Chevrolet Monte Carlos. And this 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS tribute only amplifies those attitudes with everything from a big block performance V8, to bright red paint, to a comfy classic-style interior. The Monte Carlo was the top echelon of the Chevy lineup. So it looks particularly ready to stand out in a bright rendering of the factory-correct Cranberry Red and premium black vinyl roof. Not... only does this hue continue to have a modern appeal, but was applied to a great canvas. The panels are straight to give this a crisp appearance. There's plenty of sporty appeal with the hardtop profile and the kick-up in the rear fender that rises to meet it. Like any great American classic, it also has a ton of brightwork to make it stand out further. The wide chrome bumpers, full rocker trim (with SS 454 callouts,) proper hood ornament, and exclusive grille with Monte Carlo badge all continued to gleam nicely. Plus, the iconic Rally wheels are a great finishing touch to any shiny Chevy package. We love it when the roof color is a preview of what's inside. The wide dual benches don't have even a button missing from these original pattern, and so they seat six in complete luxury. The well-presented condition of the black dash pad, door panels, and carpeting give this a fine vintage feeling. Within this darkness, the burled walnut simulated wood on the steering dash is a terrific standout. This is a driver-oriented setup where the dual-spoke SS wheel gives you a clear view to the round gauge package that reinforces both the premium and sporty feeling. Under the hood is a 402 cubic-inch V8 that has plenty of shining components to radiate power within the dark engine bay. This is built as an SS tribute, and so this big block has plenty of powerful upgrades to live up to its looks. This includes a Holley double-pumper four-barrel carburetor, Weiand Stealth intake, and headers feeding a rumbling dual exhaust. And while this is a powerful setup, it's also still Chevrolet's personal luxury statement. So you get great driving features such as the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes with discs up front. Bold, powerful, and absolutely cool, this is the hardtop that delivers good looks and great nostalgia. So don't let it slip away. Call now!
