Description for Chevrolet Nova 1967
Dressed in its high impact exterior color, this 1967 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II is not only a cinch to turn heads, but it's also plenty adept at smoking asphalt. It's carrying a well-enhanced powerplant under its hood that's been armed with quite a collection of top tier components, paired with some well-chosen upgrades to help put all that power to good use. When it came time to introduce its second generation of Nova Chevy IIs, Chevrolet... had come to realize that the model was becoming a favorite among performance enthusiasts and added some suitably sporty styling cues based on the futuristic Super Nova concept car they had unveiled before car show audiences just a few years before this '67 came out - most notably the more aggressive front grille and sloping, semi-fastback roofline. With its aggressive, lowered stance and the super shiny red paint draped over the exterior, this Chevy classic really draws you in and the brightwork it wears is all in solid shape - a polishing session will take it to an even higher level. Besides the instantly recognizable Chevy script lettering gracing the rear quarter panels and the textured chrome accent on the deck lid, this Nova wears no additional badging, which not only confers a tasteful customized appearance but also allows the magnetic shade to take center stage. There's a very welcoming and functional interior waiting inside the doors, highlighted by a pair of fresh-looking black front buckets and rear bench seat looming over carpeting that appears to be nearly new. This is quite a compelling vintage driving environment - the door panels to each side have been recently reupholstered, the aftermarket steering wheel looks sharp on its column, and the dash area is in great shape, with a new set of white-faced gauges lodged into the chrome-accented instrument panel, a new- looking pad just above and an Autosound radio at its center standing by to be hooked up so that it can perform its audio duties. Raise the deck lid and you'll see that the trunk area is in clean condition - with no fabric lining its floor you can get a good look at just how solid and straight everything is inside. The vibrant exterior color makes its way inside the cabin via some well-placed accents on the dash and it provides a really cool effect. There'll be an abundant supply of power at your disposal, thanks to the 355 cubic inch roller engine waiting in its compartment beneath the cowl hood. Outfitted with a 4-barrel carb on top, it's also been equipped with Vortech heads that have been modified to accept an aggressive .550 lift cam, as well as a lightweight crank and forged pistons. Sitting just behind it is a 4-speed automatic 200r4 transmission whose overdrive gear makes for nice, easy cruising at highway speeds, while a 9" Ford Trac Loc rear end rounds out the drivetrain and puts all that power to the asphalt as efficiently as possible. The upgraded tubular front control arms not only help to vastly improve steering geometry for a car with this Chevy's dropped stance, but also add a measure of adjustability not possible in its original configuration. Power steering makes this boulevard scorcher easy to navigate as it cruises on its set of 16" American Racing Torq Thrust-style wheels wrapped with Michelin Symmetry tires. The undercarriage looks really clean and well-positioned for plenty of future miles. Outfitted with an aggressive stance and packing all the power to back it up, this 1967 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II is a must see for the classic enthusiast who puts a high premium on visual impact and plenty of go-power.
