1963 CORVAIR CORVAN. BEACH / SURF VANThis is a 1963 Corvan. It has never been restored. and is a barn find survivor. I got it two years ago. but prior to that it had been parked since 1982. The signage and "patina" is real. and I had no intention of changing that. The old bondo you see was applied over 30 years ago. and never finished. The signage was from an electrician in Mesa Arizona. It has had a lot done to it in the last couple of years. These were things needed to make it a driver after 30 years of storage. Some of the new parts were; master cylinder. brakes. brake lines. starter. hi pressure gas shocks. dual exhaust. tires. battery. and more! some repairs done: carbs rebuilt. gas tank cleaned. oil cooler sealed. sealed differential. sealed engine. heater repair. and more!You've probably noticed the stance. It has been lowered by cutting the coil springs. I removed 1 coil. in the rear. and 2 coils in the front. it rolls on a vintage set of aluminum wheels. and is decorated in a beach theme. The inside walls and ceiling have all been insulated. and it has some "green" rope lighting in the ceiling. It has an 8 track tape player that works most of the time! Something the new owner may want to do is install an electric fuel pump. Sometimes the stock pump acts up on hot days. I have really had a lot of fun the last couple of years driving this nostalgic old van. It gets a lot of attention and people enjoy it. but I have a new project in the works. so sadly this one has to go. This is a 50 year old vehicle. and is sold "as is". as you see it.
