Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1971

This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is the kind of muscle car we'd all like to own: a numbers matching 350 cubic inch V8 for power, a great paint job, loaded with goodies like factory A/C, and an awesome stance. There's a good bit of money tied up in this car despite the lower-than-average asking price and it runs every bit as great as it looks. If you're going big, you may as well paint it an attention... grabbing colors, and the guys who did the work on this white '71 were capable craftsmen. The bodywork is quite nice, with good fit and panels that reflect light beautifully in the sun, and on a car like this, it matters. All the wonderful details of the late A-body design are there, including the character line that runs from nose to tail, and an unmistakable cowl-induction hood. And no Chevy never came out of the factory with paint that is as vivid and deep as the finish on this Chevelle, which almost begs you to reach out and touch it. Perfect it is not, but man does this car look great bombing down the road. There's a subtle badging on each fender, which highlights the the flanks quite a bit, and the contrast of the stainless wheel arch moldings against the white paint looks great. Bright chrome bumpers are in excellent condition and the crystal clear headlights and "SS" badge in the black grille are a nice touch. Inside, it remains largely stock, because there's not much you can do to improve on one of Chevy's best designs. The black cloth upholstery is in great shape and slightly updates factory patterns, and the carpets, door panels, and dash pad are all solid as well. The factory gauge bezel is all there, augmented now by a set of auxiliary units below the dash to help monitor the engine's vitals. A sporty 3-spoke Grant steering wheel sits before the column shifter, which manages a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. You'll also note factory A/C that runs R134a refrigerant (although it does a need a charge), power windows, and a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo, all sensible upgrades that make this car a pleasure to drive. Even the trunk is finished with carpeting, although a quick pass-through with a shampooer is needed if you plan on showing it off. But the real fun of this one is the strong-running, numbers matching 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood. Nicely detailed, it is designed to look quite OEM and they worked hard to disguise any upgrades that went into the build. The carburetor is a performance-oriented Holley 4-barrel atop an Edelbrock intake manifold, and with hardly a lope to speak of, it's likely a stock configuration that really runs like a sewing machine. It barks to life through a set of long-tube headers feeding great-sounding Flowmasters underneath. As I mentioned earlier, there's also a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission feeding a 10-bolt with highway-friendly gears inside so it cruises easily at modern speeds without much effort. The undercarriage isn't dressed for show but is very solid and honest, and power steering and power brakes vastly improve the ride experience. Retro-cool five-spoke chrome wheels are the perfect touch and they wear staggered 225/45/17 front and 275/40/18 Good year Eagle performance performance radials. Sometimes cars just stand out for how well-integrated they are, and this is one of those cars. A cool Chevelle Malibu with a ton of performance that will always get noticed. Call today!
