Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1969

SoCal Classic Car Storage in Laguna Hills, CA is proud to present this 1969 Camaro LS9 pro touring build with hundreds of body modifications and the best of the best go-fast parts.

The '69 Camaro is undeniably one of the first cars that comes to mind when the words American muscle car are mentioned. Now take that thought and prepare to be bedazzled as you will read how one of the most iconic muscle cars to exist can be morphed, tweaked and wildly modified to become one of the baddest Camaro's to ever hit the streets.

One of our client's here at SoCal Classic Car Storage has decided to pass this work of art onto the next privileged owner. With only 236 miles, this Camaro is barely broken in and ready for the next owner to enjoy. So pay close attention as I walk you through the extensive details and modifications this Camaro underwent.

It all started with the highly talented craftsmen from Vintage Fabrication in Independence, Missouri. Known for their impeccable work, these master craftsmen poured countless hours of work into this Camaro over a one and half year period while collaborating with the owner and transforming his vision into reality.

Let's start with the body modifications which by the way are all completed in metal. Again, not one modification performed was done in plastic or fiberglass. The goal was to improve upon what GM designers already accomplished and give this Camaro a more defined appearance, give it a look that screams power and looks as though it's going fast while standing still. All this, but in a subtle manner. First order of business was to address every body line and give it a sharpened and peaked appearance. The Camaro's front nose was designed and fabricated to mock that of a 2013 Camaro. That was accomplished by peaking the nose 2 inches. Then the windshield was lowered 1.25 inches and the rear glass raised 1.25 inches within it's framework. To finish it off, both front and rear glass were flush-mounted. The rocker panels were extended 3 inches to portray a lower stance. The rear quarter panels received attention too by being raised 1.75 inches. The fun could have stopped there, but not the case. The taillight panel has been enlarged by 1.75 inches and Lamborghini inspired taillights were added with subtle touches like sequential arrows and machined billet housings. Just above the taillights is a NASCAR inspired rear spoiler. Next bit of eye candy is the custom rear roll pan and diffuser tucked underneath a 1971 Cuda bumper. Had enough....? I didn't think so. Let's focus on the front-end of this master piece. The fine gents at Vintage Fabrication took it upon themselves to hand fabricate a custom billet grille and headlight assembly to complete the 2013 Camaro appearance. Next we'll crawl underneath to find that the floorpan was stiffened and a set of through-floor frame connectors were attached through the mounting seat positions. Then a set of Detroit Speed mini-tubs were added to provide clearance for the massive rear 20x10 B-Forged 530 RL wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot 295/40/20 rubber. The front end is sporting it's own set of 18x8's with 225/40/18 rubber.

Now let's talk power..... as in the insane power plant dropped in this beast. It begins with an LS9 Connect and Cruise crate engine mated with a 4L80E Bowler Performance transmission and Coan torque converter to handle the 730 horsepower and 670 ft lb of torque. The Dynacorn hood was modified to mock the Camaro ZR1 with a hood window to show off the LS9. The 427 power plant received some add-on goodies such as Detroit Speed headers, a 6 quart Holley oil pan, Edelbrock water pump along with a AutoRad 3 inch core aluminum radiator. Underneath you'll find a custom fabricated 3 inch stainless steel exhaust system complete with Borla mufflers. Strange Engineering supplied the 3.73:1 geared center-section mounted within a Heidt's Pro-G independent rear suspension. The ride up-front is achieved from Detroit Speed's sub frame, spindles and A-arms along with JRi double-adjustable shocks on all four corners. Stopping power is courtesy of Wilwood 14 inch rotors, six piston calipers up front and 13 inch rotors coupled with four piston caliper's in the back. If any of that doesn't get you excited.... not sure what will. Better check your pulse.

By now you know you can go fast and look good doing it, but what about comfort, right? Well, thanks to designer Larry Erickson, the cockpit received a full make-over too. It started with Tea's hot rod seats covered in black ultra-leather and orange accents. The door panels, carpet and headliner received complimenting treatments as well. Housing a set of Dakota Digital VHX gauges is a custom fabricated dash that water-falls into a stunning center console, all designed by Larry and fabricated by Vintage Fabrications. Safety and protection is provided by a Ride Tech roll bar as well. Also, cruise in any climate with ice cold A/C.

The car is an absolute blast to drive and the attention it receives is insane. Again, this is a recent, no expense spared build with only 236 miles and offered at a fraction of the build cost.
