1956 Chevrolet 2 door post. This car is a very nice driver quality car. It has a 350 with a turbo 350 which is a very reliable combination for rod runs and cruises.
The Body and paint is around 20 years old. Just from driving a car you eventually you get a rock chip or two, ora mark here or there where you lean over a fender to work on this or that, at a car show there is always a lady with a huge purse that gets to close to your car, etc. As you can see from the pictures its a very good looking car, but what I'm trying to say is it is not perfect.
The chrome and stainless is original 1956 Chevrolet. It has not been rechromed. As you can see in the pictures it looks sharp. Just because it is original and 70 years old, if your picky it does have flaws. It is very easy to rechrome or buy perfect new chrome if you wanted to. The hubcaps are brand new baby moons, I personally like them better then stock hubcaps, but its very easy to install stock ones if you wanted to.
The interior is very nice and clean. It has stock seats with black covers. The door panels match the seat covers. Looks nice.
The motor/transmission is a small block 350 with a turbo 350. It has a aluminum radiator, and a stock rearend. It steers nice and the brakes work as they should.
I haven't driven this car for2 years. I fired it up this weekend, itruns and drives, butfrom sittingit needs somelooking over.I have a appointment with a local classic car mechanic. He will be installing a rebuild kit in the carburetor, new spark plugs, flushing the radiator, sucking out the old gas, basically just making surethe caris ready to drive. Obviously he is not doing this for free. If you'd like to mess with those kinds of things yourself I would certainly give you a better price on the car.
If you already have a 1957with fuel injection, or a 1955/1956 210/150, this would be a great addition to your collection. Set them side by side at a show andWOW !
