Beautiful 1980 Z28 with modern upgrades.
This camaro has been built for someone to really drive and enjoy. The motor has been swapped for a strong running 5.3 LS motor with modern fuel injection. The car fires right up and you eliminate the old "gassy" smell from carburetors. The transmission is a matching 4L60e automatic so cruising down the highway at 85 mph does not stress the motor, but is also great if you want to go to the track.
Vintage Air has just been installed to make driving on those hot summer days feel great. The factory air vents were used, so it looks like it came straight from the factory except it frees up lots of space under the hood where you need it.
As for the exterior and interior, they are both in great shape and real eye catchers for everyone who sees the car. The paint is a deep, royal blue And shines great. There are no dents anywhere on the exterior.
The interior is the matching blue and there are no tears in the seats, no cracks in the dash, no sagging of the headliner, and has brand new Z28 upgraded door panels. The interior looks amazing for the age of the car and compliments the exterior perfectly.
New Torque Thrust wheels with four new tires also help this car standout in a crowd.
Along with the modern motor and transmission, there are many, many newer - upgraded parts.
New 3:73 ring and pinion gears - posi traction rear end with 1 yr old wheel cylinders and new break pads and springs.
New - correct spring rate - leaf springs in the rear.
New QA 1 adjustable shocks in the front and rear.
New coil springs and bushings / ball joints in front end. No shakes at all.
1 yr old disc brake rotors and new pads in front.
2 year old aluminum radiator with 2 new electric fans with fan shroud.
Over 4K (not including initial purchase of motor and transmission) spent on motor at time of swap.
There are many Canaros and Z28's for sale, but very few that are build like this. This Camaro stands out from the rest on the modern upgrades added to this already solid, great looking 39 year old car. Don't look for one to build like this when this one is already together for you to turn the key and drive to your local cruise night!
