Description for Chevrolet C-10 1968
Such a clean looking classic pickup! Its vintage form combined with subtle yet striking customization to turn heads, while rumbling small block power stands by to propel this 1968 Chevrolet C10 with gusto. This C10s restoration was as extensive as they come and was completed only 162 miles ago, so this outstanding truck is ready to provide plenty of future chapters of asphalt memories for its next lucky owner. If you're looking for an example of... vintage restoration done right, here it is. The quality on display is undeniable, starting with the slick and shiny red paint (a factory shade borrowed from Volkswagen) cloaked over the exterior - we're talking "show-off and be proud" quality here. Step up a little closer and you'll notice this C10's precise exterior alignment - the gaps surrounding its hood and doors look very precise and, from front to back, all body panels align really well. The slightly lowered stance offers a touch more aftermarket cachet yet still leaves enough wheel clearance to make room for those big boy 22s at each corner. The glass surrounding the cab has a subtle tint to it, with front and rear windshields that are protected by all new seals. That eye-catching paint also serves as a very effective backdrop for the fresh chrome also on board - the bumpers both fore and aft as well as the dual side mirrors. Both handles on the doors have been shaved and are now controlled by electronic poppers, and the gas filler is now cleverly hidden behind the driver's side taillight. How cool is that?! Just as with the rest of the truck, no shortcuts were taken in bringing the interior to its current stellar state. Everything is new and in terrific shape, including the leather bench seat, door panels, dash pad, sun visors and carpeting. The steel surfaces inside were also color matched to blend in effectively with the new upholstery, and all that elegant red really makes the minimal brightwork and black components pop inside the cab. You'll find a new set of white-face digital gauges on hand beyond the red leather-wrapped billet steering wheel mounted on a polished tilt column to keep tabs on vital motoring functions, an aftermarket R134a climate control system to keep you and your passengers nice and comfortable regardless of the weather outside, and a seamlessly installed Sony AM/FM/CD/AUX stereo to tend to your audio desires. Look behind the factory big-back window and you'll see a red spray-in liner protects the bed area, with slick red paint on the wheel humps and inner bed walls. Every part of this truck was built to look good. The snarling 350 cubic inch small block V8 would definitely be at home in a slick Camaro, and this relatively lightweight pickup makes good use of the horsepower on tap. It's based on a 4-bolt block, and all the good stuff is here, including an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor on an aluminum intake, and an HEI ignition system to light it up. It looks fantastic with Chevy Orange paint on the black, slick painted inner fenders and firewall, and finned valve covers and an open-element air cleaner. Long-tube headers dump into a custom dual exhaust system that tucks up into the frame for good ground clearance on this lowered pickup and produces an awesome soundtrack at full throttle. The 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission was built with performance in mind that makes it feel snappy around town, and because it has overdrive, highways and long-distance cruises are a breeze. There's also a rugged 12-bolt rear end, probably necessary with those giant rear meats, as well as an updated suspension that gives it that awesome stance. The look is turned up to 11 with those 22-inch Boss Motorsport chrome wheels wrapped in 265/35/22 performance blackwall radials all-around. Looking great, running strong and impeccably equipped, this 1968 Chevrolet C10 is an absolute showstopper. Call today!
