Description for Chevrolet Impala 1962
Throwing this out there to see if there is any interest......For sale is a 1962 Impala. This car is the real deal....Customized By Miles Masa back in the 60`s. If you don't know who he is Google his name. This car was first customized and called the * Stardust * it hit all of the big shows in the Midwest back in the day. It is in Rod N Custom magazine in Feb 67. It won the Indy Motorama that year. My understanding is you could not enter the same car twice and win the Indy Motorama so Miles took the Stardust home and totally re-done the car into the Goofy Grape. There is info out there to corroborate this. This car had always been a show car back in the day thus it was never really driven. Odometer shows 23k miles. I found the car in a gentleman`s pole barn, missing the engine. Bought the car re-did the interior as best as I could without taking away from its originality . Built a 350 engine with 480 lift ca, put disc brakes on the front and re-done all of the brakes. The car runs and drives. The car had a very heavy purple metal flake lacquer paint job back in the day which was cracking so the person I bought it from painted it this purple. Paint job is driver quality. The body floors trunk are super solid. with only a couple places needing some attention prior to next paint job. The hood is a one off fiberglass hood handmade by Miles Masa..The custom taillight and square headlights were gone prior to me purchasing the car. If you do some research on this car you will see the parts im talking about. There is a Miles Masa page on Facebook, you can see the car there. I am notreally looking to trade the car but you never know. Be realistic on trade offers, I don't want any projects. Will need a $250 dollar deposit via paypal within 48 hours of auction end and the rest via cash or wire within 14 days of auction end. I will work with your shipper. This car isn't perfect, really needs a fresh metal flake paint job back on it. If it doesn't sell that's what im going to do. This car could be awesome again in the hands of the right person. Im sure im forgetting something, will add to the description as the auction goes on. If you have serious interest in the car you can call or text 815sixhundred 98six5..........8-8cstWont give out the reserve and its not for sale locally. Thanks
