Description for Chevrolet Corvair 1963

1963 Corvair Monza Coupe. mild custom from way back! Some very cool things done to it. A friend bought this at a Co-Part salvage sale because he knew I would want it! It had interesting damage. drivers side door and 1/4 panel and a small engine fire. Hard to know if the both happened at the same time but I have repaired all of it. Car runs and drives fantastic. stops straight and steers easy. I had to replace drivers door and hood. nbsp; repair and 1/4 panel and repaint the drivers side and hood. (remember small engine fire) The engine got a Pertronix electronic ignition. replaced generator and wiring harness and two high quality Wolf rebuilt carburetors. I replaced the brakes and rebuilt the cylinders. replaced the front coil springs because it sat low on drivers side and then replaced the upper and lower ball joints on both sides and the lower control arm bushings. Original 102HP engine. 3. 27 rear axle with a four speed. The title says original miles but I can't guarantee that. Now before I got this car it has had extensive work! The interior is customized with Cloth seats. the drivers seat was torn up from the accident so I had one reupholstered to as close to match as they could. looks good. All window trim was removed and chromed! Ash tray in dash is chrome. headliner was replaced along with sun visors and arm rests. They look great. The trim strips on the rear seat back were removed and chromed. The carpet was replaced. gray. Has a vintage foot on the gas pedal along with the dimmer switch cover. Also comes with aftermarket dash mounted compass and electric fan. Vintage "mod" rubbermaid floor mats. drivers and rear . passenger side missing. Vintage three spoke wood steering wheel. Original black Corvair door panels could use attention. The rims are off a 70's? Toyota Cressida. 15 inch with excellent P185/60R15 Mastercraft tires in front and excellent P195/65R15 Hankook tires in rear. A Chevy Bow tire sticker covers the Toyota name in the center caps. The body has remnants of cool pinstriping. real paint not vinyl. Floors and trunk bottom have been replaced. More custom touches. vintage chrome racing mirrors truck lock shaved. black vinyl top. Trim and bumpers great and T3 headlights. You will not find another one like this one.
