Description for Chevrolet Nova 1963

Harkening back to the earlier days of the niche, this 1963 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II is one strong running, sharp looking vintage muscle car. With a high impact shade draped over its appealing form and a very clean interior standing by inside the doors, this is one fine ride just as it stands and, should you decide to take its customization to an even higher level, it offers an outstanding foundation for such a project. The... Nova has an identity that's firmly entrenched in street culture tradition, so it seems a little hard to believe that offering a new muscle car to the car buying public wasn't really its manufacturer's original intention when the model was introduced just a year before this '63 came out. Chevy's gamble on the rear engine Corvair didn't pan out, and the Nova was initially tasked with doing battle with competing, relatively small counterparts, but its rugged appearance and proportionately broad engine compartment made it a natural for both aesthetic and performance enhancements. This specimen takes full advantage of those strong suits, harboring a powerful engine under its hood and wearing a coat of magnetic red draped over its exterior that really draws attention with its appealing shine and smooth texture. Its relatively badge-free appearance brings the paint to center stage and what chrome that is on board - namely the front grille, front and rear bumpers and light casings - is all in good shape. Careful planning and plenty of skilled workmanship went into bringing the interior on this classic to top form and it really shows. There's no piling on of contrasting components here, just a well thought out overall theme that looks great and offers plenty of comfort. Both the contoured, reclining front buckets and rear bench seat wear nicely fitted two-tone gray cloth covers that blend perfectly with the door panels to the sides and the carpet below. The original gauges in the instrument cluster are surrounded by a clean stretch of chrome accenting, and a Sun Super Tach II tachometer takes its place at the center - though it will need some attention to get back up to speed. A trio of white faced Equus gauges are on board just below to monitor oil pressure, operating temperature and voltage and a retro-look, Chevy-branded stereo sits at the center of the dash, with the pad running over the top in very clean condition. Eagerly waiting to spring into action between the shock towers and dressed to the nines with a full array of chrome components is a 350 cubic inch V8. It resides in a nicely detailed compartment, surrounded by gray painted walls, fresh braided hose and properly routed wiring and has been enhanced with some well-chosen performance upgrades and sounds strong and healthy as it sings into its Flowmaster dual exhaust. The potent powerplant teams with a 3-speed automatic TH350 transmission that shifts with slip free precision via the B&M shifter inside the cabin. A traction bar has been added in back to ensure that the engine's output gets to the pavement with maximum efficiency as it patrols the asphalt on a set of 14" Cragar wheels outfitted with Vanderbilt tires that appear to have quite a bit of tread remaining. Nicely configured from front to back and equipped with a vital, capable drivetrain, this 1963 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II presents a very attractive opportunity. Call today!
