Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1969
For sale is my 1969 Camaro SS x66 body, sub-frame and misc other parts I have been collecting for over 10 years. The x66 designates that it is was originally a big block, 4 speed super sport. I purchased the body shell from someone in Arkansas. My intention was to do a period correct restoration but other projects now make it unrealistic for me to finish this one. All items included are shown in the pictures except for the engine block and carburetor. They are included, but not pictured. The sub-frame, A arms, drag link and other suspension components have been sandblasted and powder coated. New high performance ball joints, pit-manarm, tie rod ends, etc have been installed on this restored sub-frame including a 1" anti-swaybar, 2" drop springs and rebuilt disc brake calipers. Also powder coated are the bumper brackets, power steering brackets, motor mount brackets and the diagonal support that goes from fender to core support. New rubber bushings are included and installed connecting the body to the sub-frame. The mounting points where the sub-frame connects to the body are in terrific condition. Many of the parts have been sand blasted and primed. Ready to be painted the color of your choosing. The transmission cross member was also sand blasted and powder coated and is the correct one for a big block 4 speed 1969 Camaro. The steering box is quick ratio.
The car will roll, but I have no idea the condition of the 10 bolt rear end. I assume it is non-posi and it has drum brakes, condition unknown. The original color was garnetred and it had black standard interior. The majority of the frame rail on the passenger side is gone.I believe the floor will require patch panels at the foot area and transmission tunnel only. A full floor would obviously be best, but a lot of the floor looks quite solid to me. The interior parts and wiring came out of a donor car (sold long ago), which was a x11 automatic car.
If needed I can put all parts inside the car so it can be rolled onto a transport carrier as a roller. Shipping is your responsibility. If you would like additional pictures or have questions about part numbers or what is all shown in particular pictures let me know.
Below is a list of parts that I have accumulated - trying to get as close to making the car as date correct as possible. It is not the list of all parts included, just the ones that have significant dates and part numbers.
Thanks for looking! Hopefully it is all exactly what you are looking for. I would love to see this old girl back on the road again.
