Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1967
This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS represents everything that's good about Chevy's version of the F-body. With a zippy 327, a clean, sleek color combination, and a desirable mix of options, it's a blast to drive and represents a lot of fun in a first-year Camaro. And because it's been finished to such a nice standard as well, it's an attention grabber too. You don't often see code F Marina Blue Camaros these days since most of them... ended up red, black, or Hugger Orange when repaint time came. Fortunately, this one sticks to the original cowl tag's formula and serves up a unique and attractive alternative that's been finished to a high level with nary an imperfection to be found. The RS headlight package adds an aggressive look (and they work perfectly, which is a feat in and of itself), as does the rear ducktail spoiler, but it's all correct Camaro DNA and looks awesome on this '67. A black bumble bee stripe around the nose gives it an edge, broken up only by proper lowercase "rs" badges on each front fender. As a finishing touch, a blacked-out RS grille commands the front end, with clear running lights installed just below it in the lower valance. The chrome bumpers fore and aft look great, too, matching the rocker-panel molding and wheel arch trim nicely and tying it all in together for a clean, finished look that all Camaro fans can appreciate. Man, it just looks right. Inside, this Camaro offers a very nicely restored and fairly stock Deluxe interior with a couple choice options. The black seat covers with white trim are fresh reproduction items that look fantastic, as are the carpets and door panels that fit well and look like they just rolled off the factory floor. There's also a center console which makes cruising a lot more comfortable, and it fits just fine behind the shifter for the PowerGlide 2-speed automatic transmission underneath. Original gauges are still in place and offer up the engine's basic vitals, and the dash pad up top is free of cracks and look great. This car also sports a fully functional modern R134a A/C system, as well as a retro-style AM/FM stereo head unit in the original slot that now provides all the tunes. The slender 3-spoke steering wheel looks suitably OEM with its RS center cap and this Camaro is one of those cars that feels familiar from the moment you climb behind the wheel. The trunk is also very spacious, was finished in satin black paint, and houses a full-sized spare and jack set, just in case. The engine is a 327 cubic inch small block which makes all the right sounds. It burbles at idle and has the most wonderful full-bore tenor you've heard, which is undoubtedly due to some of the upgrades inside. An Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and Holley 4-barrel carburetor make a few extra horsepower and an MSD ignition means that the engine fires up with ease. It's nicely dressed in Chevy orange engine paint with enough chrome between the valve covers and air cleaner to make it worth your while to open the hood at shows and brag. Upgrades like the A/C system, the newer alternator, and newer power brake system add some sparkle, and the car sports such niceties as power steering to go along with those power front disc brakes, so driving is a pleasure. Original-style ram's horn exhaust headers dump into a recent dual exhaust system, so this car really has a nice snarl to it, and the floors, like the trunk, are in good order with a coat of satin black paint. And nothing looks better on a vintage F-body than factory Rallye wheels, with this car wearing BFGoodrich white-letter radials all around. Early Camaros are always a great choice, and this one offers more than most. It's got a fantastic subtle look, but you can see that a lot of money was also spent under the skin, making it a high-end driver you'll look forward to showing off. Call today!
