Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1975
Chevrolet Corvettes have always represented fast fun, but few deliver the thrills-per-dollar that this brilliant white, fully restored 3-owner (2 of the same family) 1975 'Vette can. An awesome color combination works with a low mileage crate small block mated to a quick-shifting 4-speed to deliver plenty of performance to back up the Corvette's sports car image, all for the price of a used Honda. How can you lose? Classic White was a popular color in 1975, and... it's a great choice on the C3 shape, playing up the dramatic curves while not burying the car in 1970s drabness. With a dark blue interior, it'll always look crisp and sharp, and thanks to a high-quality paint job a few years ago, it looks great. In fact, you'll take a look at the paint and then the price and wonder, "Where's the catch?" Well, there isn't one, this is just a car that was loved and cherished and got the attention it needed throughout its life. Panel fit is pretty great overall, particularly for 1975, and the shine will be easy to maintain thanks to modern paint used in the refinish. And unlike factory paint, it all matches smoothly and consistently. Chrome was pretty much gone by '75, although this car carries a handy trunk rack on the rear deck, and as you can see, it's very useful for those days when you want the open-air experience but don't want to take the chance of leaving the T-tops at home. We can't exactly call a Corvette practical, but this one is ready to drive anywhere, which makes it a lot more usable. The Code 26 Dark Blue vinyl interior offers fresh seat covers that mimic the originals, plus good foam underneath to make them comfortable. In fact, the entire interior was removed for paint, and while it was apart, anything that needed to be replaced with OEM parts or restored was, which means it's fresh and very clean inside the cabin. The plush carpets are in excellent condition and the door panels are pretty fresh-looking, too. The factory gauges are all fresh, as are the bezel in which they sit, which ups the sport factor of this 'Vette to the proper level, but that doesn't mean it doesn't coddle you a little bit, too. For example, the three-spoke steering wheel has been custom-wrapped in black vinyl and it offers features like cold R134a A/C and a stock AM/FM stereo, although the original radio is currently inoperable. The cargo area behind the seats is just as fresh, providing just enough room to haul a car show trophy or two. A crate 350 cubic inch V8 with approximately 9k miles on it makes this Corvette a lot more entertaining on the road than its factory-correct siblings. Thanks to a 4-barrel carburetor, performance intake, and an HEI ignition, it's noticeably more energetic than even the optional L82. A few chrome dress-up pieces like the shiny fined valve covers and the chrome open-element air cleaner make the engine bay look great and Hooker headers feed a newer Magnaflow dual exhaust system that gives this Corvette an appropriate soundtrack that never gets tiring. A 4-speed manual transmission shifts right when you need it to thanks to a newer clutch and drives a set of highway-friendly gears, so this car is a great travelling partner. The underside is surprisingly clean for a car in this price range, with lots of new components to make it feel younger than it is, and power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes enhance the driving experience exponentially. Factory slotted mags wheels are wrapped in 225/70/15 Cooper Cobra white-letter radials that give it a purposeful look without being distracting. Documented with ownership paperwork, maintenance receipts, a factory buildsheet, window sticker, warranty card, and original bill of sale, this is an affordable way to get some fantastic plastic on a budget.
