64 Chevrolet Nova AFX Gasser

Description for Chevrolet Nova 1964

I am listing this car for the owner. I built the car as a roller initially and the owner finished it. The car started out as a rust free shell on which I performed the altered wheelbase configuration and the front axle. The fiberglass is from VFN and is very good as well as being considerably lighter than factory steel parts. The underside of the car was stripped and painted. there was no rust on the body. The doors are very good. all in all this is a complete restoration. many hours were spent getting it to this condition. The motor is a 496 stroker with Hilborn fuel injection converted to electronic. The cam is a 575 lift hydraulic. the heads are Canfield aluminum. the car runs on pump gas. The transmission is a Muncie M21 and the rear end is a Ford 9 inch 31 spline with 3:50 gears. The rear end is coil over. the gas tank is new with a 3/8 sending unit and fuel lines. The tires are Hurst with new steel chrome wheels and early 4" wide Cragars. The front end is from Speedway. This car weighs under 2700 lbs. and is very fast. the youtube video has been viewed 77. 00 times. this car is a rockstar and draws crowds wherever it goes. The paint is very good on the car and has been kept in a heated garage. all in all it is a beautiful recreation of drag racing history in a reliable package made to be driven. The owner has invested considerable time and money into this. not only is it done it is driven and well sorted out on the dyno and the street. his loss is your gain.
