Description for Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1985

This is a 1985 GMC Sierra Classic. 4X4 1/2 ton pickup. Its the one everyone looks for as its the short bed. 4 wheel drive. V-8 automatic trans. Guys and gals this is a great truck to drive as is or paint it up to be a show stopper. We all know what these trucks bring when there right. This truck has a recently rebuilt engine in it which I think is the original 305 but cant say for sure. It has a automatic transmission also that shifts great. The engine is quiet and runs fine. The 4X4 works good in hi or low. no problems. This truck also has the rare lockout front hubs which is a good thing. The truck has headers on it with dual exhaust. It still has the catalytic converters on it with what I think are the small type flowmaster mufflers or something comparable. it sound great. There are lots of new parts on this truck that were fairly recently added. Some of them are edelbrock carb. new radiator. new gas tank with sending unit. I think all new brakes and other stuff I cant remember. The interior of the truck has had lots of work done to it also. The seat has a new factory type cover on it. not a cheap wal-mart kind. it has one very small spot on it. not sure what caused it but hardly visible. The carpet is also pretty new and only needs a little cleaning to be very nice. The headliner is new also. The dash has a couple cracks in it but not all torn up. The door panels need refinishing but are in good condition. The gauges have been replaced with some after market ones that look and work great. Theres aslo a new tach on the column. The tilt steering column is nice and tight. It has a new Kenwood CD stereo with remote control. The 4X4 has the floor shifter and it works smoothly to high or low with no problems. The truck has power windows and locks which both work. The belt is off of the AC but iis all there. probably a new belt and charge will make it right. Not sure if the cruise works or not. havent tried it. Now the body on this truck is very solid. There are pics of 3 small places there is rust through and any other you may see in the pics is just surface rust. The cab corners each have a very small place rusted through as most all of them do. nothing major. The only other place is on the right front fender in front of the wheel. also nothing major. The wheel wells. doors. inner fenders. tailgate are all super solid. The truck does need paint to be nice but with a new paint job it would be a high dollar truck. The side molding was looking real bad so it was all taken off but you can still see where it was. Inside the bed is solid also and not beat up. The passenger door has a little damage. nothing major just dented some but an easy fix. There are a few dents and dings but remember it is a 85. not an 05. The bumpers are nice driver quality. wheels have all the trim rings but I think one front cap is missing. Tires are fair but this truck needs a set of 31-10-50's anyway to make it set and look right. Guys this is a nice truck and has been driven daily. You can continue that or make a show stopper out of it with a little work. My buy it now price on this GMC short bed is a steal because you just dont find them this solid. As I said the truck needs paint to be nice but you have something worth putting a little time and money into. Checkout me feedback guys as its well over 600 and all positive.
