Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1982

2019 Detroit Autorama Winner! 1982 Z28 Camaro. 82,000 original miles! The Autorama trophy goes with the car! Car is loaded with Automatic transmission, T-tops, cruise, tilt, all power, good Eagle ST tires, etc. The engine is 305 Cubic Inch crossfire injection...one of the good ones! It starts right up and I have never had an issue with the fuel system or engine! The car is very reliable, I would have no concerns driving this car across the country! Car is 99% rust free (only 2 very small bubbles) Seats are like new, no rips and no wear from getting in or out. No glass damage. Active cowl induction and it works! The car still has original factory exhaust! AC has been disconnected due to not wanting to convert to newer system. I am the second owner and purchased this car in 1986 when I was 19 years old and in college. (See the attached pic from 1986 and 2018!) Born and raised car fanatic, I have always taken exceptional care of this car. It has never seen snow and very rarely rain. The car was rustproofed in 1986 when I purchased it. There is no rust due to this, but under the hood and door jams are covered in rust proofing, so they look a little dirty. No rust though! Extang headlight covers and Crager Louvers go with the car as well. You won't find a cleaner survivor 1982 Z28 that has been more meticulously maintained and cared for. If you want a sweet sports car to cruise around in, you won't find one this nice for this price!-In 2018 I replaced the factory radiator with an aluminum radiator. While the radiator was out, I replaced the thermostat, radiator hoses, all belts, and put a new battery in the car! Also replaced prior to Autorama were the gas shocks on the hood and hatch!

NO RESERVE- First bid owns the car. This is the last time I will list this car in 2019. If it does not sell, I will put it back on blocks and cover it up in storage for the winter and try again next summer. I have listed several time on line and not ONE single person has ever come to look at the car. Everyone just wants to lowball sight unseen. Not interested in that game. To truly appreciate the car, you have to see it. Riddle me this...where can you find a V8 Sports Car that is rust free, 82K miles, reliable running condition and no rips or wear in the interior, mulitiple show award winner, beautiful survivor car...for under $10K? Bid to buy, if I sit on the car and pay storage fees till spring, the price will be higher in the spring!

The only issue I have ever had with the car is when it warms up, the transmission shifts through the gears quickly and won't downshift quick enough. I believe this is a vacuum issue with vac feeding the modulator. However, I bought a brand new transmission from GM and still have it in the plastic crate. That goes with the car. The issue isn't a problem for driving the car and I don't drive it enough to worry about it. Again, I don't think the issue is in the transmission as it is fine until it warms up and vacuum feeding the shift modulator changes.
