Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1966
There has been only one owner for the last 41 years, myself. I'm not a flipper, a broker, or "selling for a friend". My name is on the 1978 title. There is no evidence of collision damage. The bonding strips are visible on both sides and across the back. The color is 1972 Corvette bryar blue and I'm guessing 1972 is about when it was painted. Car was originally Nassau blue. The interior is all original. It has the born-with unmodified drivetrain. Carb, intake, exhaust manifolds, block, heads, and trans are original. It has the original skinny wheels and very nice unrestored original wheel covers. The engine and transmission were overhauled several years ago. The car has only driven a few thousand miles since. Recently replaced were the clutch and throw-out bearing, gas tank, brake system, and radiator. The carb was professionally rebuilt and the headlight motors were rebuilt and are working well. The a/c was cool but not cold the last time I tried it. I have most, if not all, of the shiny parts of the ignition shielding. I don't have the wing nuts. I have the Protect-o-plate and manual. The car was bought new in Conway, Arkansas. I bought it from a pharmacist in Knoxville, Tennessee after he moved there from Memphis. The actual mileage is about 107,500. It had 82,000 on it when I bought it. It was a daily driver the first few years I owned it. I'm not soliciting offers. Expect to be ignored if you send one. The opening bid is the bottom dollar. I've turned down a strong offer already. Inspections are welcome but that's to be done before the auction ends. At the end of the auction, the deal is done. There's nothing left for the high bidder to do but pay and pick up. The deposit is non-refundable. If you have questions, ask them. Don't make assumptions. If you make a incorrect assumption, it's not on me. It's on you. The reason I'm offering to sell now is because I'm soon relocating 1000+ miles away. If the car doesn't sell before I move, I'll probably just keep it a while. I don't need to sell it. I am 20 minutes away from George Bush Intercontinental Airport Houston (IAH). Direct flights are available on United to and from most cities of any size in the eastern U.S. If someone wants to fly in and look, I'll pick you up. I'm recently retired so I can be available 24/7.
