Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1970
First time offered for sale1 owner 1970 SS ChevelleOrdered new at dealer in California, full paper work, comes with car.
Order sheet, delivery sheet, warranty car or protecto plate, build sheet, orgi title, orgi California plate, insurance cards, GM paper work, pictures and more.
This car has iron clad documents.
Car has orgi engine, transmission, rearend and all numbers match and are in excellent shape.
My car has been well maintained,in the years between 2001-2004 I knew I was going to retire so I spent around $15-$20,000.00 dollars and had the car painted for the first time, engine gaskets and seals replaces, trans rebuilt and rear end rear sealed, new brakes, new exhaust sym, new rug, new radiator, hose's belt, battery, shocks, all done.
In 2005 I retired and in 2007 I had a major stoke which left me unable to drive the Chevelle.
We have kept this car garaged it's whole life, car had 1 small rust hole in the left 1/4 right behind rear tire, it was repaired when car was painted in 2002, also had some small door dings, bike cycle scatch's and normal ware.
We move back from california in 1974 to Indiana we have loved the car enjoyed it raised a family with it and now it is time for someone else to enjoy or add to there collector car collection.
Car was ordered with 396/375hp CKO engine in oct 1969 also m20 4sp, 12 bolt 411 gear, bench seat, forest green with white stripe,F41, in that time period the 454 was not avalible till January of 1970 and I wasn't sold on it so the best proven hipo engine was the 375hp which really is 425-450hp under rated, and now so many less L78 cars were made compared to ls6 cars, much more rare as collectors know.
Of course now this is 1 of only 2200 l78 cars and since we ordered this 1 it will be kinda rare with in it's self.We have kept all of our paper work on our car, glad we did now days very important.
There a few things I changed years ago some things I kept and some I got rid of off the car.I kept orgi carb, alt, started, wheels,I don't have- air cleaner, some of hardware for the cowl hood, vac stuff. radiator. water pump maybe I have or don't.
the engine is what the car came or was born with! as is transmission! rear end! all the most important parts are here with car.
we have had it kepted up runs drives great, shows very well.still will take a award at car shows with no problem.
I believe for the most part everything is working on car, lights, gauges, wipers, dome light, key buzzer, horn and so on, but you find something as the car is almost 50 years old.
Title in hand.
My son in law and daughter will be handling all dealing with car, they will answer all question's and handle all paper work and documents, moneys all pertaining to this 1970 Chevelle.
