Description for Chevrolet Caprice 1966
1966 Chevy caprice 4 door hardtopOriginal 327 motorOriginal powerglideOriginal 12 bolt rear endOriginal options- power steering, power brakes, a/c(not working)
This caprice is a solid driver. Engine runs strong, no smoking or knocking. Original carburetor has been replaced with edelbrock manual choke, original points distributor upgraded to HEI. Transmission shifts well, doesn't slip. Power steering is good, power brakes are as good as original power drum brakes can be. No a/c or heat but was optioned with both. Exhaust is true dual stainless with 40 series flowmaster mufflers, sounds great.
Exterior is decent. Paint is older repaint, shines well but has scratches and a few small rust bubbles. All trim is intact and in ok condition, all glass is good, no cracks or chips. Aluminum American racing wheels are good, all tires have plenty of tread. All lights work and all lenses are good.
Interior is also decent. Original headliner is in good shape. Original door panels are in good shape although one of the lower carpet inserts is tan instead of black, no idea why. Carpet is good but also wrong color. Speedometer and fuel gauge work and are accurate, clock doesnt work. All windows roll up and down, vent windows crank on and out. Horn, wipers, blinkers all work.
Overall a nice cruiser. Not a show car by any means but beautiful from 5 feet away. Selling to cover medical expenses.
