Description for Chevrolet El Camino 1960
The big tailfin look of the 1960 Chevrolet El Camino is absolutely cool, but the reason why you love/lust this one is for what's underneath the skin. It's a full Pro Street fresh build with a powerful V8, cool Lightning Rod shifters, and race-ready components that make this one red hot for more than just it paintjob. There's less than 120 miles on this car since the build was completed, and so that means it has the crisp look of new. That makes for an especially appealing presentation of this first-gen El Camino. After all, these have a crease that starts up front and runs the full length of the truck until it forms the tailfin on the artful tailgate. Plus, with wraparound glass in both the front and the rear, and the rear overhang, these really had style. You also have an air ride suspension, which let you dial in the cool stance. The red paint is a professional application with plenty of gloss to highlight all these details that make this first-gen El Camino so awesome. Plus, you're going to love all the brightwork pieces. This includes the mirror-like bumpers and grille, as well as upgrades, like the Weld Racing wheels (where you can see how extra-large the rear ones really are.) And the jet-inspired side trim feels especially right on a car upgraded for extra power.
Pro Street means a car that's ready for the dragstrip as well as something cool for the road, and the interior shows that off perfectly. It starts with two-tone ultraleather bucket seats. Not only do these look awesome, but also they coordinate with the custom door panels, too. Even the rear deck and folding tonneau cover match! You get the classic red and chrome Chevy steering wheel that also includes power steering. But even with all these cool pieces, you can instantly see this was really built for performance. That's why there's a full roll cage setup for added strength, and all your essentials are set in a toggle-switch fuse box. The factory gauges have been switched over to AutoMeter Pro-Comp units, and there's even a large tach w/shift light mounted below the dash. That last one goes particularly well with the triple-stalk Hurst Lightning Rod shifters.
Open the hood to get a clear view at a serious V8 power. While this one is built for battle, there are so few miles on the whole build that it also has terrific freshness. So areas like the upgraded pulleys, upgraded brackets, and cast valve covers are fortified pieces that also have an award-worthy look. This hardy 350 cubic-inch V8 has TrickFlow aluminum heads, ProForm 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor, a polished Edelbrock intake, and headers that feed the growling dual exhaust. The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is a stout unit that you control with those special shifters. This sends power to the reinforced ladder bar rear end that's been tubbed to hold those massive Mickey Thompson tires. There's plenty of extra steel reinforcing the chassis, and you see it both in the engine bay and the truck bed. While you're back there, make sure you spot the fuel cell that's over the rear for added traction weight. And stopping this beastly El Camino is the power of four-wheel disc brakes.
So now you know that this classic El Camino is also a street-eating custom. That makes for a total package you need to get your hands on right now. Call today!!!
