Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1957
We'll always stop and stare at an icon like this finished in glowing sliver. But this one has also been restored to include everything from an iconic 409 big block V8, to an overdrive transmission, to four-wheel disc brakes, to a custom A/C interior. So while you might have already fallen in love at first sight with this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air post coupe, it only gets better the deeper you dig. This car has been built to be a street machine, and you know that from the first impression. The 1957-correct Inca Silver has a deeper, more modern finish. Plus, you have tinted windows and those modern 16-inch Weld Racing wheels in a cool flame-like pattern. But while this is upgraded, it also never loses the charm that makes the '57 Bel Air an icon. The front-end has a 10,000-watt smile with the bumper/grille combo that made the '57 a legend. The panels look nice, so you can really see the full-length side trim that ends in the bright fanning over the tailfin that we all love. The gold anodized time against the silver paint give this extra precious metal distinction in the details.
Inside is plenty of classic style with some interesting upgrades. For example, up front you now have leather seats with a fold-down center console. These are far too advanced to be from '57, but they look like they are borrowed from a Cadillac (so still keeping it in the GM family.) Plus, the seats are even power adjustable for added comfort. You also have more great modern comforts, like power windows, a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner, and cold-blowing modern R134a air conditioning. There are performance upgrades like the sports steering wheel on a tilt column and auxiliary gauge trio cleanly mounted on the top of the dash. But even with all these additions, nothing gets in the way of the vintage feeling that comes from the classic-style dash and all the brightwork.
The shoebox Chevys might be famous for launching the small block V8s, but this coupe proves that the big blocks fit in there, too. And quite frankly, having a 409 cubic-inch V8 under the hood means we bet you'll humming the Beach Boys every time you lift the hood at car shows. And this one is ready to show off. We have receipts document over $8,500 invested in the motor alone in the last few years. That's why it looks so bright, tidy, and fresh. More than just look great, it was built to be powerful. The V8 has a Comp Cam and it inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor and aluminum intake. And the straight pipes of the dual exhaust let this exhales with authority. Making sure the power stays planted to the ground is an upgraded ladder bar rear end with adjustable coilovers and a Currie 9-inch diff w/Positraction. More than just all-out power, this was built to be a fine all-around cruiser. That's why you have fantastic upgrades like the rack & pinion power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive.
This 409 sure is fine. So if you love an icon that's built to be strong, powerful, comfortable, and all-out memorable, then you don't want to miss this deal. Call now!
