Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1955
Don't call it a wagon, because after all, the 1955 Chevrolet Nomad is one of the coolest grocery-getters of all time. This American icon only gets better with a fuel-injected V8, overdrive transmission, premium interior, and a slick black presentation against a ton of chrome. While the two-tone cars are nice, this one instantly announces it's a true street machine. The Ebony Black paint is a modern clearcoat application that loves to show off the iconic curves every time the sunshine finds the sheetmetal. So you can tell they made a solid investment to get the body right. Plus, with the bumpers, grille, bezels, and sweeping side trim looking mirror-like, this one has stellar first impression. Plus, the 18-inch Boss torque thrust-style wheels and the lowered suspension are a great performance touch without losing that vintage feeling.
The black and silver interior mimic the interior for both its color combo and freshness. You can tell there has been money spent here. There are some great details, like the two-tone seats with an embossed pattern on the black and a tuck-and-roll style for the silver. It shows they were thinking about vintage and custom at the same time. You sit behind an upgraded black and chrome sports steering wheel in a tilt column. Just beyond that is a Dakota Digital gauge package upgrade. It fits in nicely to the factory dual cowl dash, because after all, the Corvette-like appearance is too cool to alter. But some of the other upgrades are a little easier to notice and are also very welcomed. After all, features like the AM/FM/CD stereo and provisions for R134a air conditioning make this great for everyone to enjoy the long haul. And that's what a Nomad is all about. The rear section means this is the two-door that also takes large items. And the split rear hatch this is the classic that you'll love tailgating everywhere from car shows to sporting events.
While the Tri-Five Chevys are famous for introducing the world to small block power, the V8 under this hood continues this car's theme of speedy improvement. A 5.3-liter Vortec engine was cleanly installed. There's even a custom cover to proudly announce this is a fuel-injected powerhouse. This setup gives you a serious power advantage, but it's also built to add practicality, too. That's why it has serpentine belts and an aluminum radiator w/large electric fan. They even recently rebuilt the 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. Add in power steering, power brakes, grippy ZR-rated tires, and drilled & slotted front disc brakes, and this is Nomad has been upgraded to be an all-around driver.
This is the first year for the Nomad, but you can easily see they made all the right investments to updated this classic for speed, comfort, and style. It makes for a terrific driving classic that you need to get your hands on right now. Call today!!!
