Another fine example and one I will probably regret selling but here it goes …...
1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 25th Anniversary Z03 Heritage Edition Convertible.5.0 liter Tuned port fuel injection with a 4 speed automatic transmission.it has all the power options available for the 1992 model year including power drivers seat.
Compnine has recorded just 1,115 Camaro Z28 convertibles being built for the 1992 model year .of the 1,115 only 266 cars were lucky enough to receive the Z03 Heritage Edition option package.
They were very popular and they were bought to drive, to have fun and enjoy the breeze and the sun while cruising down the highway.if they were not stored correctly they deteriorated quickly and by the mid 2000's a lot of them had already been retired to the bone yard or been written off from theft, accidents or neglect.its been 27 years since these were on display in showrooms across North America and with some very low mile examples hidden away in secret collections there are very few remaining that can be bought and driven which is the main reason why i'm bringing this to market today. time to let someone else feel the breeze in their hair (I dont have any left on my head lol)
The car has 72,000 original miles and has never been in any accidents or fender benders.The paint is in excellent condition with no chips, scratches or marks anywhere on the body, it shines extremely bright with no visible sun damage, swirl marks or oxidization.The stripes are bright with no signs of fading or peeling as well as all of the emblems and decals are in perfect original condition.the interior is in good original condition with the door panels and armrest handles in excellent condition with no warping or moisture damage. the carpet is stain free and clean. some minor wear and marks are noted on the steering wheel consistent with being 27 years old and leather wrapped. its still in good condition for its age.All the glass in the car is in perfect scratch free condition. the door and window seals are in excellent condition as well as the door belt moldings.The original radio visible in the pictures stopped working, I did send it out for repair but it was not repairable and as of this writing a new aftermarket radio has been installed in the car.
The convertible top is in excellent condition with no visible marks, wear or fading. the rear window is very clear with no signs of fading and only a few small marks in the top right corner consistent with light use and of course being plastic.The chassis of the car is in excellent rust free condition and I mean ZERO rust !!it was soundproofed from new at the dealer. the soundproofing/coating is not the goopy kind, its very dry to the touch and was strategically placed on the floorpans and trunk pan only. there are no scuffs or dents anywhere on the floorpans or subframes. unlike the coupe the convertibles benefit from factory full length side rocker boxes (boxed subframe connectors) for added strength and make lifting the car damage free a breeze.
Mechanically the car is excellent. the car starts and runs well. the injectors were changed last year as well as the fuel filter, pump and other fluids. the cooling system is in excellent corrosion free condition. the car is equipped with GU2 2:73/ G80 positraction rear end with j41 drum brakes on the rear and is an excellent freeway cruiser.The air conditioning has been upgraded to R-134.The wheels are in very good original condition and do NOT need refinishing. there is some curb rash noted on 3 inches of the right front wheel and also noted is a few very slight blemishes in the clearcoat on a few wheels only. again nothing that needs immediate attention.The second set of tires were installed on the car in August of 1997 and still remain on the car.
The car spent its entire life in the Pacific Northwest about 1 hour north of Seattle in Vancouver British Columbia in a reasonably warm climate, it was spared the torture of harsh winters and the cold temperatures like those seen in the mid-west.
