Description for Chevrolet Corvair 1964
Private seller (not a dealer) - selling my 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Spyder. This is a factory turbocharged 150 horsepower, 164 cubic inch matching numbers motor. Original 4-speed manual transmission. This is a western United States zero rust survivor car that is in remarkable shape and looks/runs great. This is a true, factory turbocharged Spyder, not a converted base Corvair.
The car is mostly original and has a re-paint at some point but paint is overall in good condition (not a show car paint job).
Car starts, drives, steers, handles and runs great. Pictures tell the story.
Only 6,480 Spyder coupes were made in 1964 so these are pretty rare cars and this one is priced reasonably for a rust free, numbers matching car.
Car has new tires and shocks as well as new spark plugs and intake and exhaust manifold gaskets. I have numerous spare parts including a rebuilt carb, extra gauges and other miscellaneous parts.
I have a clear, exempt mileage (due to age) South Carolina title in my name in my possession. Questions - eight zero three, four four three, four five zero zeroOn Dec-10-19 at 21:00:29 PST, seller added the following information:
1964 is the best year for the first generation Corvair Spyders due to having the larger and higher torque 164 cubic inch displacement (vs 147 c.i. for 62 and 63 models) and due to having the rear suspension cross leaf spring to improve handling.
