Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1970
With an ultra-desirable factory color, five-speed upgrade, and nice investments in the numbers-matching V8, this 1970 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is a great way to join the camaraderie of the 'Vette nation while remaining distinctive in all the best ways.Corvette fans know that having code-982 Donnybrooke Green is a very cool rarity. Only available in 1970, it feels like there are hints of gold underneath the olive just as soon at the sunlight hits it. This one is coming off of long term ownership, and so it has been treated with respect over its low mileage lifetime. That even includes a respray of the special green. Beyond just the color, there's something great about the early C3 design. It combines the long and low American look with the flat-back styling of the Europeans. This car appears to have been well maintained throughout its life, with the fiberglass panels fitting nicely to hug the body's every curve. These earlier C3s are also for the brightwork lovers, so the bumpers and rocker panels have a nice mirror-like shine. And of course, no classic Chevy sports car looks complete without the iconic Rally wheels.
The tan folding roof has a timeless look against the green exterior, and so we are especially glad that you get that same appeal with the roof down, too. Saddle leather bucket seats are a great piece to have. Plus, it's surrounded by great looking tan pieces on the carpet, door panels, and dash. A car like this was built around the driver. That's why you have a three-spoke sports steering wheel, just ahead of that is the large speedo and tach, and to the side are the full auxiliary readouts at eye-level. And have you counted the gears on the stick shift yet?
Under the hood is the original numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. But that's not his car's whole story. It was fully rebuilt in 2002 with all the best enhancing and fortifying components (we have the specs and dyno sheet to show the added performance.) Plus, we have thousands $$$$ in receipts documenting professional upgrading in 2012. Today, this V8 includes aluminum heads, a Holley Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and custom headers. Plus, you have the ideal control over this enhanced V8 and its rumbling soundtrack thanks to the five-speed manual transmission upgrade. This is a strong runner, which is exactly what you want in a classic Stingray. After all, with a fully independent sports suspension, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, it's a terrific driver.
The sale comes with owner's manual, build receipts, and even the original four-speed transmission if so desired. This Stingray has its rare original color and factory-installed motor. It also has all the right upgrades without sacrificing its vintage spirit. That's why we know this green machine is a golden value that'll be leaving us quickly. Call today!!!
