Description for Chevrolet Nova 1971
This listing is for a 1971 Chevrolet Nova SS. The title and registration is free and clear and in hand. The title and registration states that this is a 1971 Chevrolet Nova SS. There are no SS emblems or build sheets with the car. Please do your research as I don't have a build sheet for this car. Make sure what's listed will work for your application or build. This Nova has been insured, tagged, and the tag is good until June of 2020. The original Chevrolet issued vin #"sare in place on the dash. This is an original 114 car. This is an original V8 Nova. The original cowl tag is in place as well. This 1971ChevroletNova SScame from the factory with an exteriorpaint code 75 which is CranberryRed and interior code 763 which is a Light Sandalwood. This is not a $20,000-$50,000 muscle car in it's current condition. It will require work to build your vision. You can build a SS350, SS396, pro street, dragster, gasser,or you can build the highly coveted Yenko Duece Coupe. If you are really ambitious you cantransform an old 6 cylinder Nova(if you have one or know where one is located)into somethingfast for the streetthroughout the week and alsobuild a matching high powered dragster toy for your weekend track fun. Forgive me, I started dreaming about the possibilitiesfor this Nova if I had an unlimited budget. Please charge the dreaming to the mind and not the heart. Back to the listing. The ownerwants $7800 for this 1971 Nova SS. If you want to pay that amount for this Novaplease let me know and I willset up the buy it now feature.I have been given the authority to find a new owner for this vehicle.I have suggested starting the bidding at $5500. What will the market pay? If no onebuys it now, the high bidder will get it at the end of the auction as this is a no reserve auction. High bidder gets it. You Nova aficionados know what you are looking at, what you are willing to pay,and you know what it will take to make your vision a reality. Look at your situation and decideif you want to build this car. Please ask any and all questions that you have about the car prior to bidding. If you have a question please ask. If possible, pleasecome inspect the car or send your trustedexpert to inspect the Nova.I will take care of you on this end. I willdo what I can to finish the deal and make sure all parties are happy. Please just make sure that you can handle your end of this transaction if you decide to bid. The rocker panels are solid and strong. The upper dash and cowl areasare in good shape. The roof skin is in good shape, but their are small areas where the front windshieldand rear window glasswill restin the channel that will require attention due to some rust through. No big issue in my opinion. I'm just trying to be thorough. Please see the photos. This body has been fortified with a professionally built roll cage and chassis. The cage and chassis are super solid with surface rust. The car needs to be cleaned up with media blasting, wire brushing, grinding, chemical, or whatever method you prefer to use removing surface rust. The frame is a full length setup instead of a regularsubframe. Please see the photos. What you see is what you get. There are some interior parts, a speedometer cluster, and a dash pad with this Nova. The under dash wiring harness is present. The a/c and heater controls are present. The steeringcolumn is present. The regulators are present for the back windows, but someone has broken the glass. This Nova has disc brakes. A rack and pinion setup is present. Floor pans need attention to be nice. The car needs quarter panels if you want them to be nice. Skins are required at the very least. There is a fuel cell inside of the trunk, two battery trays, adjustable rearshocks, heavy duty Ford 9 inch rear end housing, and what appears to be a 4 link adjustable rear suspension. I don't know who built everything or what brand these components are, but it was built in a professional manner. This is a serious setup. Money was invested. Please look at the photos and ask your questions. Professional car builders, drag racers, pro street builders, etc.if you know what your requirements or specs are going to be please for your build please don't hesitate asking questions. I will goaround this car and crawl under it to get you your answers. I understand that those of you that have built these type of vehicles may have specific questions because of your experience.I will give you honest answers. I will send honest photos of the areas that you need to see.I will assist you or your transporter at pickup. It can be stored for awhile. Please let me know if you can't pick it up in the near future. Some of you may be facing wintry conditions and don't want to get out on the road with a trailer. Just let us know. Thanks and good luck bidding.
