1965 Corvette Convertible - 396/425 HP

Hello Corvette enthusiast. My name is Kevin and I’m helping my Dad sell his 1965 Corvette Convertible 396 / 425HP. This is a numbers matching car that underwent a very nice quality body off restoration about 12-15 years ago. Dad purchased the car 10 years ago at the Kissimmee Mecum Action from the Hammack Collection . We’ve put maybe 500 miles on the car over the last decade but keep the oil fresh and run only racing fuel. This Corvette starts right up and drives great.
This car has the following factory equipment:

• 396 / 425 HP V-8 - Number matching - Original Motor, Intake
• 4 speed manual trans
• Rally Red exterior
• White vinyl with red carpet
• Telescoping steering wheel
• AM/FM Radio
• Tinted Glass
• Positraction Rear
• First year for 4 wheel disc brakes
• Quick take off wheel (reproduction)

Side exhaust and reproduction knock off wheels have been added.
Over the last 10 years we’ve had all the wiring replaced with a correct harness, replaced the starter and installed a modern Holley 780 carburetor for easy running. We have the original starter and the carburetor that came with the car but we don’t believe it to be correct. The paint on the car is very nice, deep and shiny but there are a couple cracks around the stinger on the hood.
While this is not a concours quality perfect Corvette it is a great quality driver or can be made concours by the next owner. We are realistic about the value of this Corvette and have tried to describe the vehicle to the best of our knowledge.
