Description for Chevrolet Impala 1964

Up for a quick sale is my 64 Impala SS. It has a highly desirable early 62 (01/28) dated block. Vintage Air and a Dakota Dash(have the original) were recently installed along with the 62 409-425HP engine. It has the original 409 carbs and intake and runs strong. Heavy duty radiator and dual electric fans were also added. They are thermostatically controlled. The starter solenoid was relocated to the firewall to eliminate heat issues. I was told he had spent like 20k under the hood. The front end has been rebuilt. It has factory power steering and I have purchased a kit to convert to power brakes. That will go with the car. Under the hood looks awesome! The interior is very nice. The Muncie 4 speed shifts smoothly with it Hurst shifter. It does have posi-traction rear end. It has new weather strips doors, windows and trunk. As you can see in the photos, it has Cragar S/S Mag wheels "15" and new tires.
I went to an estate sale to purchase a pontoon boat and saw this car so I bought it too! I was planning to keep it until my new Corvette came in months from now. However, I was just informed it will be here in a couple of weeks and I MUST make space for it.
The paint is very nice and people at car shows just love it. Me, I am a perfectionist. It is in its original color of Daytona Blue with light blue interior. There is a small bubble on the driver side down low and a very tiny spot near the trunk lock which you can't see until you lift the trunk. Once I got it home I discovered 2 of the three floor braces each side had rust but none in the floor boards. It will take $380 ($95x4) parts plus labor to replace them. Since the floors are solid, I was not going to replace them. I have priced the car at a great price. Anyone that knows these cars will realize that. Remember, I bought this car at an estate sale and I can not answer a bunch of other questions about it. I have driven it a lot even taking it to the Daytona Turkey Rod Run last year.
The wife of the previous owner could only tell me he had the engine built and added a bunch of stuff during the 2 years he had it. It sit for 6 months before she could sell everything. All I had to do was buy a new battery for it and drive it away. I am aware of all the scams so don't waste my time with any of them. I know them all. I strongly recommend a visit to see it in person. I don't want someone to buy it on my description only. I believe the first person to come see it will buy it. I have the title in hand that will be signed over upon confirmed funds. Bob
