Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1955
This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air is an ultra-desirable hardtop that also has some unique extras. After all, when was the last time you saw a '55 Chevy with a power sunroof? So check out the custom paint, custom interior, upgraded V8 power, four-wheel disc brakes, and all the other extras that make this iconic coupe a true standout. This Bel Air was built to be a bit sleeker. They expertly deleted the trim on the hood, sides, and trunk so that Chevy's famous Bolero Red could really look its boldest. The bumpers are even color-matched lightweight fiberglass units so you get a more modern look with some extra street machine attitude. But since the '55 Bel Air is a true American legend, they did not delete the brightwork altogether. It just now focuses your attention on some of the most iconic pieces, like the grille and outlining the pillarless hardtop profile. Plus, there's a nice shine on the dual exhaust tips and 17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels to help announce this sleek Bel Air has added performance.
The moment you open the door, you see a very modern level of comfort. After all, you could never get buckets seats from the factory, and these even power adjust! The black with red inserts have a terrific custom look, and the rear ones were done to match. Other great custom details include a cup holder center console, upgraded door panels, provisions for cruise control, and an Alpine AM/FM/cassette stereo with equalizer. And while there are a few others out there who get to roll down all the windows to experience a pillarless hardtop, very few also get the added openness of a power sunroof. This is also a nice driver-oriented setup with an upgraded sports steering wheel mounted on a tilt column, and there's a custom gauge set by Jaeger.
While we love the '55 for introducing the small block V8, you can all see this one has been upgraded past its classic peers. It's a 350 cubic-inch unit upgraded with a Holley the four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and headers feeding a rather straight set of dual exhaust pipes. Plus, there are nice supporting components, like Accel super coil, electric fan, and steel braided hoses. You get complete control over the enhanced powerplant thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. This one was also built with some nice driver upgrades like a rear sway bar, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
You know how much a genuine 1955 Bel Air hardtop coupe is worth on its own, and so to combine it with the great driving upgrades just makes it a true deal at this price. But you're not the only one who noticed this, so hurry up and call today!
