Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1979
*. ****Up for sale is an all original numbers matching 1979 Z28 CamaroTWO OWNER with only 42k ORIGINAL miles!!! You read that right, 42k original miles!!The inside and outside of this car have both been well preserved.Owner purchased new on 1-29-1979 from Parks Chevrolet in Kernersville, North Carolina, and since then it has been stored in a temperature controlled garage, driven only on warm & sunny conditions. Never driven in snow or rain, and has only been driven by the 2 adult owners. This museum worthy car has been covered the entire time of storage, and weight has been taken off of the suspension during storage. The reason for periodically driving the car was to make sure that the engine, drive train, fuel system, brakes, and hoses stayed in "like new" condition. Perfect clean title with zero accidents.,
DocumentsAll original sales receipts, original build sheet, and owners manual will come with this car. This was a special ordered car back in 1979, with all of the bells and whistles that you could get on a Z28 camaro including: power windows, power locks, A/C, window tint, roof drip moldings, color keyed floor mats, 5.7 350 engine, tilt "comfortilt steering wheel", aluminum wheels, power steering, style trim, door edge guards, and black custom vinyl interior. Records have been meticulously kept since the car had been driven off of the showroom floor. You will be receiving the original set of keys, key tag given by Parks Chevrolet back in '79, and even the business card of the original sales representative!!
Exterior: I am unable to find a rock chip, scratch, or speck of rust on this car. Paint and body is just like it was from the showroom. As seen in the pictures, the bottom of the car is clean enough to eat off of--due to it being undercoated so many years ago. No paint blemishes. Just the beautiful bright white paint....just how it came from the factory. Good year eagle tires are also brand new.
Interior: Have you ever sat in a 70's car and still smelled that factory "new car smell?" I hadn't either until I sat in this one! Not a stain or spot. This even has the original 8 track player which works as it did in '79. Car Interior is immaculate, never smoked in, and all gauges work with no dash warning lights on.
Mechanical: All is stock, and runs like it did new from the show room floor. Engine and transmission are very tight and smooth. Car does not rattle, steering is tight, and handles bumps amazingly. There are no leaks and it does not burn fluids. The only parts changed out on this car are ones done out of necessity. And, were very tastefully done. These include: New belts, hoses, filters, shocks(A/C Delco), tires, and exhaust. This car is meant for those individuals and collectors who desire originality! Again, because of how well the car has been treated, it is a perfect candidate for a museum....or for someone that will respect it the same as the previous owner did.
Included with the paperwork are 2 different appraisals. They are dated back in 2015 when the car had just hit 42,000 miles. One is for $26,000.00 and another for $27000.00. This was 5 years ago, so due to the mileage being nearly the same, the value of this car should be well over $30,000.00.
