Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1966

This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle may have been born a real-deal Super Sport, but today it's a restomod with so much more. The slick black paint and custom/loaded A/C interior are terrific attention-grabbers, it's all built on top of a huge investment in power. This has a monster fuel-injected 502 V8, and they upgraded everything from the suspension to the six-speed to make sure you get to harness this awesome muscle to the fullest.

This coupe is the kind quality that takes a long commitment. That's why it took two people and over $114,000 in work to get the full car complete. It was only finished in 2019 and about 200 miles driven since then. That's why this car has such a clean and straight appearance. The sheetmetal, panel gaps, and slick black paint were all held to higher standards. This is a real-deal Super Sport, and so it has all the right elements, like the blacked-out grille, faux hood vents, ribbed rocker panels, and proper SS badging all-around. But there are a few subtle hints that you're looking at something much more than just a cut-above classic. For example, the classic Cragar SS wheels are a period-correct kind of upgrades, except the larger 17-inch size means you can now fit modern sports tires. And the front fenders now have Chevy's s classic fuel injection callouts.

Inside is a premium and loaded interior. In fact, the red is so fresh and bright it looks like hot lava overflowing from within the dark black exterior. And just like the outside, they made big investment inside to look stock but upgrade the experience. That's why the seats, door panels, dash pad, and headliner all appear factory, but they are now finished in a supple leather. They subtly integrated more great modern upgrades like power front seats and an AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth. The power windows (even vent windows) mean you never have to leave the driver's seat to show off the pillarless hardtop profile, and the ice-cold air conditioning allows you to do that comfortably even in the summertime. The driver experience is upgraded with a Grant wood-rimmed sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and beyond that is the cool glow of the full Dakota Digital gauge package. And have you counted the gears on the Hurst shifter yet?

You'll love lifting the hood at car shows because everyone enjoys seeing an engine bay stuffed with serious big block power. This has the fresh look where it's unmistakable that this 502 cubic-inch crate motor has hardly any miles on it all. So it has the tidiness and shine that can win awards all on its own. And it's not just that you have the mightiest crate motor Chevy ever offered, but also we have a receipt file detailing the huge investment in fortifying and enchasing the motor for ideal performance. This includes a Holley tunnel ram electronic fuel injection system, GM performance aluminum heads, Ron Davis aluminum radiator, and Headman long tube headers that feed the X-pipe dual exhaust. And while that makes a sweet sound, there's also electric cutouts before MagnaFlow mufflers for those times when you want this to reveal the true growl of the beast. The a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission is a terrific modern upgrade to give you complete control and overdrive comfort. It sends the power to the 12-bolt Moser rear end. The suspension is also all about control. That's why you have a full Detroit Speed setup with tubular A-arms up front, an upgraded four-link rear, and thick sway bars front & rear. Plus, with Koni shocks, power steering, grippy ZR-rated tires, and Wilwood four-wheel drilled & slotted power disc brakes, this is the kind of classic that's as solid as a modern sports machine.

The sale comes complete with plenty of build receipts documenting the impressive restoration work. This is a fresh build with sleek looks, great quality, and a ton of power. So you if you demand the best of everything, don't let this big block restomod slip away. Call today!!!
