1970 Chevrolet K10 with less than 100 miles on a complete. frame up. restoration to original condition. Original short box. stepside. V8. automatic. 4x4 truck with original drive train. Every piece of metal. plastic. rubber. wiring. all drive train and operating components. every nut. bolt and screw either replaced. refurbished or rebuilt. The starting point was original sheet metal. original interior and original running gear. The VIN decodes as a 1970 4x4. V8. 1/2 ton pickup made in Fremont. CA. This is a non-AC and non-tilt column truck. It was originally a non-tachometer truck. but now has a new tach dash installed. The original drive train was completely rebuilt to factory specs from the u-joints on up. The original 350ci motor. with the right front block land stamped "TAY". is a four bolt main motor rebuilt to stock specs. The rebuilt Rochester Quadrajet is original to this motor and is properly rebuilt and setup. A new MSD HEI distributor was installed. The original Turbo 350 transmission and NP205 transfer case were similarly rebuilt to factory specs. The original GM 12 bolt rear end with positraction (3. 73 ratios) and Dana 44 open knuckle front end with locking hubs have been completely gone through with new bearings. new seals. reman yokes. axles. etc. and any wear items replaced or rebuilt. Power steering and power brakes (original four drum setup) with 6 bolt hubs and original (but later model) GM Rally Sport wheels with new Cooper Discoverer 31 x 10. 5 x R15LT tires. Front and rear suspensions completely rebuilt with new tie rod ends. springs. shocks. bushings. shackles. ball joints. etc. plus a reman steering gear and pump. Dual exhausts run from the original ram's head. straight dump. exhaust manifolds. All original cab. nose and rear fender sheet metal were media blasted to bare metal. The box sides. tailgate and front panel are new. US made (by Mar-K) pieces. The frame was sandblasted to bare metal and coated with POR. PPG acid etching primer was applied to all bare metal pieces and parts. followed by a high build primer surfacer and/or PPG K38 primer. and then PPG two stage base/clear topcoat. The color is a modified GM late model dark metallic grey with a bit of pearl included. The front seat is original to this truck and has been rebuilt and reupholstered. Seatbelts are original. refurbished units. The gas tank is original. hot tanked. and lined. A Retrosound. OEM lookalike. AM/FM radio has UBS and Bluetooth connectivity. The entire interior of the cab including the door interiors was covered with Dynamat sound deadening and insulation material underneath new carpet and trim. All new seals. weatherstripping. door internals. door glass. windshield and back glass were installed. A complete new Painless wiring harness was installed. Exterior trim. including bumpers. logos. grill. headlamp trim. door handles and locks. windshield trim. etc. are largely new. aftermarket parts with some NOS and original parts utilized where available and of appropriate quality. The bed wood is new oak and the bed strips are stainless steel items both from Mar-K.
