1954 Chevrolet Corvette, original body, clean title and VIN#. This Corvette was built to this stage by a Corvette specialist and NCRS judge in Plano Texas; a professional Corvette specialist that has had Corvettes that he built at Barrett Jackson that sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars. We started with a clean original 1954 Corvette body out of Wyoming and it now sets on an Art Morrison frame and is set up for an LS3 and TREMEC 5 Speed. The car has a Strange solid transaxle rear end and a power steering rack. The Corvette has all the bodywork completed and now sets with the guide coat of paint. The car is at the point where it needs to be taken apart, painted and completed. The body was modified with 1956 doors, 1956 windshield, 1956 convertible top frame, 1956 convertible top cowl and fiberglass mini tubs to clear the rear tires in back. I chose to use 1956 doors so that I could have windows that rolled up and down and not have to use the 1954 side curtain windows. The coves were filled on the 1956 doors and the door sills were modified to accept the doors so when you look at the car the doors look stock. Because of space allowed on eBay for a listing, I did notinclude all the body work done to the car. However, the car comes with a daily log invoice that isextremelydetailed and shows ALL the work done on the car to get it to this stage. Thedetailed invoice is 27 pages long and shows the details and dates of every stage of the body prep etc. The invoice shows over 1000 shop hours invested into this car. The invoice totals $100,670.00 and this detailed daily log invoice will be included in the sale of the car or if you would like to inspect the invoice before purchase I can supply a copy for you. The shop invoice does not include the original cost of the car. When I started this car I wanted to build it to look like a 1960's SCCA Road Race car with a few hidden improvements, however the owner of the shop that was building it for me wanted to build a full blown custom withair-conditioning, full electronics etc. for a proposed television show that he was trying to land. The shop owner and I disagreed on the final production on the car so I took the car from him and was going to have it finished at a world renowned hot rod shop in Denver Colorado, but in the meantime Ifound a 1932 Ford Three Window Coupe and I changed directions and the Corvette just sat in my shop.The car is at the point where all the body work is completed and the car needs to be taken apart so the chassis can be painted and built back up for final finishing, so this point you can go in any direction with the car you choose. I have over $125,000.00 invested into this car the way it sets. The car is so unique yet looks so factory; thequality of this build is second to none and if someone takes it to the limit they will not have any problem getting into magazines and Barrett Jackson if they so desired.
