Description for Chevrolet C-10 1982
We could tell you this 1982 Chevrolet C10 is a full machine custom, but your eyes already told you that with its first impression. So look over all the details where you can see how there was a big investment over every inch to upgrade the adjustable suspension, V8 power, vibrant appearance, and much more. Most vintage Chevy trucks of this era stand out because of their beefy body lines, but this one is memorable for so much more. A custom two-tone pearlescent white and orange paint job would already be enough for people to take notice. However, the blue flames expertly laid down to separate the two colors creates the kind of striking appearance that's absolutely unforgettable. Sharp eyes will notice the presence of an artful red pinstripe around flames, too. It adds to the sharpness of this truck's hallmark feature. And while this full custom paintwork gives this pickup its own gravity of attraction, that's just the tip of the custom work performed. The front bumper was painted to match the body, and the billet grille hides the front headlights for a retro-future kind of attraction. While much of the body trim was expertly deleted, they did add a dual-scoop cowl hood. And just to make sure you notice it, there are custom flames painted on top. A lot of nice trucks have a hard tonneau cover to give the bed a smoother look, but this one take it to the extreme by deleting the rear bumper and creating a rear end. Those 24-inch wheels now represent this truck's biggest piece of brightwork. But their true memorable feat is when they tuck under the body on-demand when you lower the adjustable air ride suspension.
The interior of this truck is about plenty of function and even some flair. The carpeting, door panels, and bench seat are done in a basic black. The dash is a tasteful gray with a soft pad on top. You'll slip behind the upgraded sports steering wheel, and the tilt column gives you a comfortable setup with an easy view to the gauges. The full package was upgraded with AutoMeter readouts, including a large speedo and tach w/shift light. The dash wraps around you, and so it's an easy reach to things like the upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo (w/upgraded speakers) and the controls for the air ride suspension.
Grab your sunglasses before opening the hood. Because sitting in the middle of the dark engine bay is a shining heart. There was plenty invested in polished components, but what we love the best is how the block and valve covers were specially painted to match the metallic blue of the exterior's custom flames. More than just look awesome, this 350 cubic-inch V8 also delvers proper power. It has been upgraded with a Quick Fuel Slayer four-barrel carburetor, high rise aluminum intake, and Hooker headers that add power while contributing to the rumble of the Flowmaster center-exit dual exhaust. This even has nice supporting components, like a polished serpentine belt system, Summit in-line fuel pressure gauge, Taylor Pro wires, an Optima red top battery, and an aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans. We bet you also noticed how the inner fenders were removed up front to help get this truck lower to the ground. In the rear, the upgraded trailing arm setup improves the ride and the suspension's adjustable stance range. And since this truck is built to be shown off near and far, you'll be happy to have great driving features like a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front.
It's hard not to get excited about a great custom pickup that's also built to be driven, too. The only problem about something so custom is that once it's gone, you may never have another chance at something like this again. So hurry and call today!
