Description for Chevrolet Other 1957
This 1957 Chevrolet Cameo is a rare and stylish pickup. And while we love the history, this one was fully restored to give you more power, a more vibrant look, an overdrive transmission, and a comfy A/C interior. It makes for the classic stunner that's easier to show off everywhere.Today we all want a premium pickup, but this market was only just emerging in the 1950s. Chevrolet recognized this with the few years the Cameo Carrier was available. The flush-fitting bed and revised tailgate was created by utilizing the fiberglass knowledge from the Corvette line. It had full sweeping trim with an integrated hint of two-tone color, and there's a tailfin design to make this as attractive the '57 Bel Air. We're particularly fond of the paint on this one. 1957 was the first year that the Cameo was officially offered in a color besides white. So the restoration took full advantage of this history, and gave it a vibrant blue with a nice hint of metallic. So you have a sleek shine that really loves to show off this Chevy's curves. Plus, there was a huge investment in the mirror-like chrome on the bumpers, trim, and distinct grille. It's the kind of radiant total package that you just know will look terrific at the Sunday car show. Even the custom details are well-integrated, like the one-piece side glass and classic torque thrust wheels with blue Chevy centercaps. And there's a flush-fitting tonneau that protects the great-looking lumber in the truck bed. This pickup is such a star it was even used for Powerblock TV!
This truck was restored less than 4,300 miles ago, and the freshness on the interior is quite a nice reminder. Cameos were built to be more comfortable pickups, and so this one brings that idea into modern times. The custom seat is a nice mix of tasteful tan and comfortable tweed. And this is repeated on the doors panels and headliner. There are well-integrated comforts, like an AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input, cup holder center console, and cold-blowing air conditioning. You get a great-looking sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and it gives you a clear view to the upgraded full gauge panel that fits in the classic housing.
The show-ready style of this truck continues under the hood. There's plenty of shine coming off the valve covers, intake, alternator, aluminum radiator, and more. And the metallic blue air grabber is a particularly nice touch. When you look beyond the style, you'll see the substance of a hardy 350 cubic-inch small block. It's been upgraded for power with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and headers feeding the Flowmaster dual exhaust. As you look at the full undercarriage photos, you see more of the freshness that reminds you of how few miles are on the built. It also gives you added confidence on the road. And with power steering and power brakes w/front discs, this truck was made to be driven. You even have an upgraded four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive.
Chevrolet only made 2,244 Cameo Carriers in 1957, and that means they made nearly three times more Corvettes that year! So you are look at something that's both rare and stunning, and it has been expertly restored to show it off everywhere. Don't miss this special Chevy, call today!
