Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1976
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present another American icon, this 1976 Chevrolet Corvette T-Top Coupe. The car was acquired by its current owner in 2009, it was driven and enjoyed for t summers where it was then treated to a ground up and mechanical restoration in 2011. Factory options included: L-48 350 V8 engine, Power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, leather seats, automatic transmission, power windows, AM/FM Radio, factory A/C (compressor not present), T-tops, soft ray tinted glass, etc.Today, the car is presented in its factory color of bright yellow over a black highly original interior. The exterior paint shows bright and glossy, the black stinger cove accents complement the car very well, and all the paint has been professionally applied. The interior remains in excellent, in what appears to be highly original condition. The leather seats show proper patina for the age of the car, the veneer accents remain excellent and original, console is intact and good, etc. This Vette also features its signature rally wheels with "high hat" center caps and trim rings.
Now for the good stuff: The original L-48 350 engine was removed and professionally prepared to a 383 stroker performance oriented re-build and executed in 2011. Highlights include: Competition roller cam, roller lifter set, 202 cam button, 9912 High Compression .30 Piston set, Scat Crank, 08-1100 roller chain set, 11-663 Rod bearing set, 12-909 Main bearing set, CH-8 Cam Bearing set, M-55 oil pump, 80001 Balancer, etc. Other features include: Edelbrock Aluminum intake, hooker headers, aluminum heads, rebuilt transmission, dual Flo-Master Exhaust, Electronic ignition, new wires, plugs, etc. In short, this 1976 Corvette has more performance then ever offered in 1976. Since the car has been well kept, enjoyed and cared for properly and is now offered by GR Auto Gallery to the global market.
At the turn of the key, this corvette roars to life and begs to be driven. The motor is dialed in and pulls strong, the transmission shifts proper, and the rear wheel drive applies the power to the pavement and shoots straight. Above that, the suspension has been be built/bushed and is tight, the steering is taught and the brakes brake strong and straight.
The 3rd generation corvettes are really hitting their stride in the collector car market. The design is like no other car ever built. The car offered here offers the killer look along with performance never offered at that time. Documentation includes owner's manual and a large folder of receipts including specifications of the engine build, receipts of parts and appraisal.
