Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1972
It's irresistible when you discover a full custom build that takes an icon and gives it an upgraded V8, sports suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, custom A/C interior, and sick metallic paint. That's why this 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute Restomod goes right to the top of your wish list. These coupes are all about distinction. After all, 1972 closed the book on the awesome Chevelle hardtop coupe era. So this has all your favorite classic SS pieces boldly done, like the cowl hood and dual racing stripes. The Burnished Orange is a distinct way of showing off this Chevelle. It's the kind of color and metallic element that wasn't available in '72, and so it instantly signals an upgraded coupe. The same goes for the tinted windows and HID headlights. And the idea of vintage and custom come together nicely on the classic American Racing Torq Thrusts wheels with a large/modern 18-inch size.
All the dark elements of the exterior get you ready for the full black interior. You can tell they made a solid investment in the fresh seat upholstery, door panels, carpeting, headliner, dash pad, and more. This has some terrific amenities, too, like cold-blowing air conditioning, power steering, and there was a custom-built center console with cup holders. There are provisions for a full stereo system. It will need completing, but the trunk's custom subwoofer enclosure w/Rockford Fosgate amp is a true centerpiece. And this is a driver-ready package with everything from the classic high-back bucket seat, to the modern Dakota Digital VHX full gauge package with large speedo and tach.
Under the hood is the true centerpieces of the car, and you know it the moment you see the tidy engine bay with an exterior-matching block right in the middle. This is a more modern LQ4 6.0-liter V8, but it has been given the full classic muscle car treatment. It starts with a .030 bored over kit. It was further enhanced and fortified with AFR aluminum heads, Comp Cams hydraulic roller camshaft, Cloyes double roller timing chain, Speed Pro moly stainless rings, hypereutectic pistons, 10.8:1 compression, Edelbrock Victor Jr. high rise intake, and topped with a Quick Fuel 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor. You'll also spot the right supporting components, like a serpentine belt system, MSD Ignition w/8.5 mm plugs, and an aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans. Hooker long tube headers add power while also adding to the nice rumble of the Flowmaster dual exhaust. The motor build has less than 7k miles on it, and so remains quite a potent powerplant. And the three-speed automatic transmission has a 2500 stall to keep you in the ideal powerband. The undercarriage photos show investments in the full suspension, including tubular A-arms up front, boxed trailing arms in the rear, sway bars front & rear, QA1 adjustable coilovers, and SSBC four-wheel power disc brakes w/drilled & slotted rotors.
There's a ton more details of the performance upgrades to go over, so call for all the info. This has the right look, the right power, and the right features all come together to deliver the right Chevelle SS tribute restomod for you. Call today!!!
