Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1957
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door hardtop. This car was assembled in Oakland CA, The original paint color was two tone: Larkspur Blue and Harbor Blue. The upholstery, as you can see is black cloth with blue vinyl. This car has no engine, no transmission. Original rear axle. This car has damage to the right front fender, frame, right side suspension, bumper, grill and radiator support, passenger door and rocker panels. Windshield is missing. This car has the original front and rear seats. The front seat is deteriorated but still has the original upholstery. The rear seat cushions have the original upholstery and are in very good restorable condition. All seat springs are in good restorable condition.
The dash, cowl, and firewall all appear to be in good condition. The left front fender and headlight assembly are in very good condition. The driver door fits, opens, and closes properly. Both rear quarter panels appear very solid and straight, however the front portion of the passenger quarter panel is slightly buckled near the door. The rear bumper is in very good condition. The rear window is in good condition. The dash appears to be complete including the push button radio, ashtray, clock, and heater/ventilating controls. The radio knobs are missing, as is the steering wheel. This car has a clutch pedal, so I assume it originally had a manual transmission.
It would be a challenge to restore this car. It would also make a fabulous donor or parts car.
This car was stored outdoors for many years in a relatively dry California environment. There is only a small amount of rust on this car. The bottom edge of the trunk lid, the spare tire wheel well and the left rear corner of the trunk pan have some rust out as is found on most of these cars. The upper left corner of the driver’s compartment floor has a small rust hole. We hope that you can appreciate that this is an untouched and very solid California car. This is definitely not a picked over rust bucket!
This car is to be sold with a bill of sale, no title. It has not been registered in forty or more years and it is no longer in the CA DMV system.
Seller will load onto your trailer at no charge.
