1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Retromod LS2 6Speed

Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1968

Custom build 1968 Corvette Convertible Restmo, body off restoration completed in April of 2017. Powered with a LS2 engine, cammed with Livernoise stage 2 stealth cam to provide a smooth idle and mated to a 6 speed T56 Tranzilla transmission built by Rockland Gear. New LS7 flywheel and clutch was installed Body was removed and end rear quarter panels were replaced with 2" widened fenders giving the car a 4" wider rear body. Body was stripped and painted in 1967 Corvette Silver Pearl. Frame was sand blasted, seam welded and powder coated black. Frame rides on a custom built suspension by Van Steel Corvettes. Front and rear fully adjustable both ride and height on QA1 coilovers. All suspension components, brake calipers, axles hubs, brake lines and fuel lines were purchased from Van Steel Corvettes. Rear differential was rebuilt and fitted with 3.71 gears also done by VSC, New beefed up drive shaft and half shaft was installed. All new custom tan interior was purchased from Corvette America. Custom built Boyd Coddington C7S Fury polished wheels and fitted with 305/30/19 and 265/35/18 Michelin pilot super sport tires. Vacuum system was removed and electric headlights and wiper door actuator were installed. Custom stereo system with back up camera and sensor, keyless entry and push to start. Everything on the car was either restored or replaced with new.
