Description for Chevrolet Nomad 1955
1955 Chevy NomadThis car has been here in our area pretty much owned by same family for long as I can remember. It has been repainted only one time that I know of. What started out to be a simple face lift turned into a two-year total and complete frame off restoration. Only one man's opinion but i felt it was way too good of a car to restore. Survivor cars seem to excite me, just one man's opinion. They took car apart and did it right. I remember seeing rolling chassis complete and panted black and complete. looked very nice. I'm not sure what was done to bottom of body but I am sure it was minimal. I do know bottom is excellent and needs nothing-all is well and ready to enjoy. I know they were sticklers on paint color. Car had to be put back correct GM factory color and it was. No money spared putting interior back as factory new. It is gorgeous, maybe called waffle pattern. way in the back it has the orig. linolium neet stuff not many of these cars have it
Please try and come look at this wagon. If you can't send an inspector, at least take time to look through all of the pictures we spent the time to take. Also check out the carpet. It is the neat stuff I think they call it Daytona weave? Check pictures they show all chrome parts-they have been replated and are nice. very nice. the paint has held up great and is sharp. All window glass is perfect. they added a later steering wheel, added power steering, added AM-FM radio. replaced all wiring. They wanted power disc brakes. All weather striping has been replaced. last year they added new tires and installed windshield wiper assembly. They also stated they had to put in a new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. Back when one of them had a girlfriend he added vintage air. Well, she is long gone and he didn't like air. We were told it may need a shot of freon. Also the 4 speed sports a new hurst shifter. And engine is a fresh 350 cubic inch. we have not tried to run numbers on block but restorer told us 350 all is well with this car. if you happen to be high bidder and you come to pick up car and you're not fully pleased! then don't pay its not a problem. Thanks for lookin on our sale.
