Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1969
I am selling my 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 Clone. I will describe this to the best of my knowledge. I originally bought this car as a driver but then starting taking the interior out to start to restore it but unfortunately do not have the time any more and I have a baby on the way. It does need body work. paint & interior to make it a show car. I found filler in some areas from the previous owner. For that reason I am selling this as a project car. It appears that the trunk floor needs replacing (previous owner fiber glassed it) and also needs rear frame rails. The rear inner wheel wells & rockers need to be replaced or patched also. The body would need to be redone as well as the paint. It is a 20 footer. I did notice quite a bit of rust underneath and around the front windshield frame (roof and dash) but any body guy would be able to take care of this. I am not a body or paint guy so I do not have the skill or knowledge to handle this. The car was originally white with a 6cyl. but now has a big block. The color is hugger orange and has white hockey stripes down both sides. The motor is a 396 Chevy big block. The transmission is a 700R4. The rear is a stock 10 bolt but can easily be swapped for a stronger 12 bolt. This car has not been raced to my knowledge. It is a driver. Motor has a mild cam. headers (will need full exhaust). Edelbrock aluminum intake w/ Holley carburetor & Mallory distributor. The car does have power disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. The previous owner said he restored the car himself 6 years ago but looks like he hasn't worked in the auto body industry before. New quarters were installed but I noticed they were installed over top of the originals so the quarters are a bit wider than the doors. when closed. Front fenders seem good to me. It has a fiberglass hood. replaced trunk lid and front valance. Also has sub frame connectors. Newer coil springs. front disc brake kit w/ cross drilled rotors. newer radiator. gas tank & brake hoses. No wipers. no A/C. Front windshield is cracked but looks like back glass can be cleaned & used. I did have the rear seat springs/frame just powder coated but will need to be padded and covered. The front seats are original but will need to be repadded and covered also. It will also need a dash pad. headliner. door panels and carpet to complete the interior as shown in the pics. I do have the factory console but it is not in excellent shape. This car is perfect for someone looking to invest in a nice project. One that they can make their own. It is not by any means perfect but can be with time. It will need work to be a show car as far as the body goes. This has never to my knowledge been in an accident. according to the previous owner. I also have the original stock hood which is included in the sale if you would like it. I have a clear Pennsylvania title. Please see pics listed and ask any questions that you may have. Buyer is responsible for pick up and/or shipping. A non refundable deposit is required at auction end. This car is being sold as-is with no warranty and sold as a project car. Happy bidding!
