1957 Chevy Old School GasserComplete build from the ground up about 3 years ago. It takes a trophy at every show. no one walks by without looking!!! I bought this car done about 2 years ago. and love driving it. It has been part of my collection but now I would like to buy something else to play with. Here are the specifics;Body- 2 door Belair with ALL it's original sheetmetal. This was a North Carolina car from Fayetteville that belonged to an elder lady and sat in the garage it's entire life. Paint is base/Clear and 8. 5 with 10 being perfect (I am very fussy). It was all original and the person I bought it from transformed it into his dream car. It looks as good as the pictures show. Interior- Completely redone in red. with bucket seats. and an 8 track player that works. Dash. steering wheel. chrome. etc. has all been redone. This car looks new inside! That is a 1950's babyseat in the backseat. Engine/Transmission- 383. aluminum heads with roller rockers. Dual Edelbrock 500 carbs with high rise manifold. Muncie 4 speed transmission with a Hurst shifter. Pushes close to 450 horse and runs like a scalded dog! I am not sure on the rearend gear ratio but probably 3:56's? It looks like the stock rearend housing. Speedway axle with disc brakes up front. Hooker headers with shorty Flowmasters. Complete Painless wiring kit installed. fuel cell in the trunk. Want excitement when you drive. look no further as it will scare you coming out of the hole. It drives like a Gasser. very little bump/steer and a stabilizer shock would cure that.
