Description for Chevrolet C-10 1966
(scroll down for more pictures). Up for sale is my 3 owner. 1966 Chevrolet C10 Custom short bed truck. Original 283 V8 engine and three speed column shift transmission. Starts runs and drives great. The engine produces solid power with excellent oil pressure and compression in all cylinders. The truck was painted base coat with three coats of clear about three years ago and looks great. The body is very straight. Has the desirable white trim down the side with all new exterior molding (just installed). Also has the larger rear cab window. Grille and bumpers are very nice. All lights. turn signals. brake lights and wipers work. The interior is in great shape. Original instrument cluster looks new. Chevy 6 lug rally wheels and trim rings are in great shape. Original rubber floor mat is in place (showing wear under the pedals). Floor pans and cab corners are very solid. Paint is excellent driver quality. A few bubbles on the bottom of both fenders and rockers. please see pictures for reference. No rust anywhere else on the truck. Extremely solid. The bed has all new wood installed and looks fantastic. The bed was treated with satin polyurethane. Glass is excellent. Quite a bit of money has been spent on this truck including: New windshield with 1966 Texas inspection sticker. all new rubber gaskets around doors and glass. new stainless mirrors. new chrome rocker step plates. new gas/brake/clutch pedals. New fender/door/cab and bed moldings and hardware. new tail light bezels. new gas cap. new parking light lenses and bezels. new horn/cap button (not installed). new chrome interior dome light assembly. new interior window and door handles. new wheel center caps. new glove box. new heater control knobs. nbsp;new Rochester 2 barrel carburetor. new plugs. new spark plug wires. new condenser. new distributor cap. new rotor. new ignition points. new ignition coil. new air filter. Heater works great. The truck puffs smoke on start up if it sits for an extended period of time but dissipates after driving. I assume it's cylinder head valve guides which is very common. Runs great and is totally reliable. Drive it anywhere. This is a great. driver quality truck that shows and runs fantastic while not breaking the bank. Please remember. she is 49 years old and not a perfect trailer queen. With that being said. this is an extremely nice. solid. nbsp;#'s matching truck that gets tons of attention wherever it goes. The oil pan leaks. I do have a new oil pan gasket that I have not installed yet but will be included along with new valve cover gaskets. The valve covers do not leak. The turn signal assembly at the steering wheel is loose but still functions. This truck will do nothing but go up in value every year. The ONLY reason I’m selling it is because I just bought a Corvette and can’t have both. Also included: Both original keys. nbsp; 1966 Texas Truck license plates (matching pair. immaculate). nbsp;(not installed-chrome tailgate chain kit). 1966 owner’s manual and sleeve. 1966 Chevy truck dealer brochure. 1966 Chevy C10 shop manual (original GM). nbsp; Matching 1966 C10 die cast model and receipts. I have the clean and clear North Carolina title for this truck and DMV transfer paperwork in hand. I have great feedback on Ebay and have been a member for over 10 years. I try to describe items as they are.
