The previous owner of this Corvair passed away and I purchased it out of his estate. The car was in storage since 2002. MECHANICAL: According to the receipts I received with the car. the motor was rebuilt in 1993 when it had about 73. 00 miles on it. It presently shows almost 78. 00 miles. so the rebuild has about 5. 00 miles on it. I got the car started. but one of the carburetors floods pouring gas over the engine. So. I have not driven it because that could cause a fire. It probably needs a carburetor or something but I don't want to bother with it and am selling it as is. The brakes are working including the parking brake. I yard drove it until I discovered the flooding problem. Receipts I found also indicate the starter was rebuilt. The car has a gas heater. I have not tried it. but saw a receipt for a "gas heater pipe - $37. 00"There is no battery with the car. BODY: The body looks very solid the floors and trunk floors are very solid with no rust through or repaired areas. The paint is okay. It's shiny with some scraps and nicks. It is an old repaint. The hood was repainted again later and it is a shade lighter than the rest of the car as is the skirts. All the glass is good. All 4 tires are the same and are deep tread radials. I think the spare matches too. but not sure. The chrome is shiny with little or no pitting. Some dents in bumper as you can see in the photos. Some accessories installed on the car include a front grille. skirts. and blue dot taillights. The original taillights are also included. INTERIOR: The original front floor mat is in surprisingly good condition. The front seat should be recovered. I checked with Corvair Underground Parts and an original replacement cover cost a bit over $300 and is easy to install. I provided lots of pictures that can be made larger.
