The Chevrolet Corvair is a compact automobile manufactured and marketed by the Chevrolet division of General Motors for the 1960-1969 model years. As the only American-designed. mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mount air-cooled engine. the Corvair range included a two-door coupe. convertible. four-door sedan and four-door station wagon body styles. We spent 575 hours to restore this 1965 Corvair Convertible. We purchased the Corvair in 2006. completed restoration in 2013. The car has new paint. new convertible top. engine and transmission have been rebuilt. Suspension was all redone. The car has new Michelin Pilot Sport tires and new Billet Specialties Fast Lane Wheels. The interior is mostly new. except it has its original seat covers. All stainless has been buffed and polished. This Corvair is restored to like new condition. The odometer was turned back to zero during the restoration process. It's a fun car to drive in the summer with the top down!
